Hi!
Love everyone's picture's of POP....I just have a question which I'm sure you all have answered a thousand times, but here goes:
I have always stayed at Port Orleans when I go....thought we would stay here....so which of the building would be closest to the main building? The shortest walk.....thanks for any info on this

Last time we went in 2005 we asked for a 50's room....Bldg. #1 was closest to the pool and Everything POP/Dining ,but the 60's rooms are the closest but preferred ! Hope that helps!:hippie:

What building were you in to be able to see the fireworks from? Were they illuminations?

Thanks so much,

Charleyann:santa:

Charleyann - the building in htose pictures looks like one of the 60's buldings.

We were in 50s C and we could see Illuminations as well.

I ask for the 50's building for lakeview for this coming Christmas Eve. What a nice, peaceful view!

We had to step over the ducks some mornings to get to the bus!

A video of the ducks below our rooms.

For us one of the greatest benefits of having a lake view room was the wild life right out side our door every day. We'd wake up in the morning, open the door and be greated by a gaggle of ducks just wondering around. A few would even run up to the walk way and quack "Good Morning" to us. The rabbits were another treat. Most stuck the edge of the bushes but they were every where and a few would pop out, watch us go by, and then pop back into the bushes.

Looking at this thread is causing major with-drawls. The pics are awesome. My wife and I went to WDW 04/30 to 05/09 and stayed at Pop (3rd year in a row) and it was awesome. Keep em coming.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but the closer it gets to my trip, the more paranoid I become!!:lmao: I always see pictures of stairwells, but are there also elevators? We requested a top floor and I can't imagine my children walking up all the stairs after a long day in the parks. Thanks!

Yes--the elevators are in the middle of the buildings (where the three wings meet) and the stairwells are on the end. No worries!

You can faintly see the elevators in this picture, back behind Mickey:

AWWW !!! :cloud9: I hope in a room like the one you had !!!

What floor were you on? I've decided on the lake views (thanks to piccies like the bunnies and ducks) but was unsure whether to be on the 4th floor overlooking the lake or on the bottom floor with the birds eye view of the wildlife. Decisions, decisions...

This one is kind of blurry.

I can vaguely remember doing this in junior high.

Ok, so it took me forever to finish this thread and now I want today's picture!
We are going to be at POP for the first time Sept 7-9! I'm doing a picture scavenger hunt with the group we are bringing (mostly college kids and slightly older than college singles). So, check out this other thread and give me some POP suggestions! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1519146
Or post them here and I'll copy them over!
I'm SO excited about POP now!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: We will be back @ the POP in 11 days for our 4th straight year!

Photobucket is completing some maintenance right now. I hope to post soon.

And we're back. This may be a repeat (I'm starting to run out.)
