We are planning a surprise trip to WDW before our yearly beach trip. I've never been able to keep a secret from my two DS but this time I am determined.:smooth: Anyway, we will be getting in late and I don't want to spend much money before heading over to AKL for our stay. I would really like to try Pop Century but I was quoted a AAA price of $94.00. Should I go for it or try an off site hotel? Does anyone know if I could get a nice one for around $50.00? (We will be arriving by way of Ocala.):sunny:

can't help you on offsite rates, but we were just there in jan at $44/night and at that I'd stay for 1 late night for almost 100 I don't think its worth it. You won't see the hotel much and its not that spectacular of a room that I'd spend that much for it just to primarily sleep. If you were staying there a few days it'd be much more worth it as it is a very cute resort.

Thanks!
That what I was thinking too. But, as you can see from the bottom of my screen, my goal is to stay at all of the Disney properties. (LOL) I do think that I will wait for a time when I can spend more time there. I really can't justify that much money for a room just to sleep in.

I would stay onsite. Maybe you are driving and don't mind loading your car again. However, you can use luggage assistance at Pop Century and they will transfer your luggage to your new room. Then all you will have to do is start going to the parks instead of driving to WDW, hauling luggage etc.

The resort is neat and worth seeing.
