Pop Century or CBR

I've narrowed it down to either Pop C. or CBR.

Please give me your advise. We will be there for
8 nights with a 6 & 2 yr old. WE don't plan on being in
the room much. Is it worth the extra money? Is it less
crowded at the CBR? WE plan on renting a car and
driving to the Parks.

Our main thing is we don't want to be crowded.

Would we notice the difference in the size of the room?

We have stayed at POR before.

Any thoughts?

Having stayed at both, I would go with Pop Century. CBR is very spread out, and if you are going to have a 2 year old with you, I'm sure you're also looking for convenience.

Did you notice a big difference is the sizes of the rooms?

ARe the beds the same size?

CBR would definitely have more room. CBR has the largest moderate sized rooms. I've stayed at both and if you want more room, I'd go for CBR. Just ask for a room in either Barbados, Aruba, or Jamaica. You don't want to be in Trinidad South, it's a real hike to the food court.

I think Trinidad North and Martinique are preferred view (close to the food court) so you'd pay more for those.

At Pop if you end up in the 90's, you can have a little bit of a hike to the food court also - especially if you're in the very back. At Pop the beds were very small. We sleep in a full size bed at home - their beds were smaller than ours at home. I have a pillow top mattress on my full bed, maybe that's the difference. But, my husband and I ended up sleeping on a bed by ourself when we went. The full size beds at Pop were just too small.

If the difference in price is only $20 or $30 a night, I'd pick CBR.

CBR will have two queen sized beds in the room. If memory serves me right, the size of the room at the value resorts is about 240 sf and the size of the room at CBR is around 350 square feet.
Another thing to consider is the parking issue. I've read some reports here that people were having trouble parking at Pop because there are not enough spaces there. Not sure if this is anecdotal evidence or if it really is a problem there.
Personally, I'd go to CBR. Hubby can watch the kids while you take a rest on the hammocks on the beach there.

CBR has 2 double beds in the room, so does PC. The size of the value resort rooms are approx. 260 sq. ft. CBR is 340 sq. ft. and has the largest rooms of the moderates.

Having stayed at both values (AS) and moderates (CBR included) I would go with CBR because the size of the rooms are larger since that is important to you. It also didn't seem crowded there and it was very quiet at our building (we were in Jamaica). In fact I didn't see many people coming and going unless we were at Old Port Royale. And we were there in June.
