Pop Century or All Stars?

I have reservations for AS Music since I couldn't get AS Movies for Thanksgiving 2003. Do you think think Pop Century(if it ever opens) will honor the same AP rates as the All Stars?

Should I double book at both to make sure? I'd like to stay at the new resort but don't want to miss the discount? Again this may not even be an issue if it doesn't open before Thanksgiving next year,

Any suggestions?

Not all value resorts offer the same discounts. An example of this is sometimes ASMo is not part of the AP rates or the other discount codes when they come out so no one can say for sure if Pop Century will participate.

As far as being able to book the Pop Century resort goes I could be wrong but I thought that once they postponed the March 2002 opening that they stopped taking reservations because as of right now there is no targetted opening date.

It's hard to say when Pop Century will open. This morning I've tried to get resies there for Oct 2003 and it was a no go. Thanksgiving might happen tho since it's the start of a peak period. As far as discounts are concerned @ PC? I have a hunch Resies there will fill fairly quickly like AS Movies does now and Disney may see no need to offer a better rate. If this happens I expect Sports, Music and maybe even Movies to offer attractive discounts.

I know that discounts for Cast Members are rare when a new resort opens.

From what I am to hear, Pop Century (Phase 1) will be opening mid to late Spring, of 2003... coinciding with the beginning of our busy seasons. However, my guess is that they won't be taking reservations until the official announcement takes place, and they start all the hiring and whatnot for it.

When I called AS Movies for next Thanksgiving for 9 nights they said they were booked. When I went on-line thru the Disney site it looked like just Thanksgiving Day that is booked but since that is the start of our vacation it doesn't matter if it is one day or all nine. I don't think I want to split resorts after driving for 2days. They said that sometimes there are cancellations so just keep checking.
