Minnie61650- Thanks for posting those River Country photos! I was there back in the 80's as a teenager and remember sliding off that drop off into what I thought was really a pond! I was horrified . (A clueless teenager I guess). I've never seen any pictures of it until now. It was really neat to see the "then and now", thanks again!

we stayed at POP in 04 and we thought they would def. finish the other half... its such an eye sore. .its been long enough they need to do somthing.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Maybe you don't like Values, but alot do. But these building are not even CLOSE to being done. They are just shells, so hard to tell what they would look like once they were done.

Did not say I did not like values. We have had the opportunity to stay at the values in the past. Don't prefer them, but don't dislike them. My point was that as they are now, thay look like, well, heck. {don't want to swear on disboards}

I guess that is kind of why I questioned why yo usaid it. Of course they look like crap. They are just shells that were abandoned over 6 years ago. The building was never finished to begin with, so it certainly wouldn't look good!

The only thing new pics are going to reveal is that the weeds are higher. There is nothing from a construction and/or demolition standpoint that is different from pics taken over the last several years since construction stopped.

I agree with a previous poster that Disney seems willing to let others build and operate hotels on WDW property(i.e. Western Way development) while they focus on building their DVC empire.

I've often wondered what occupancy numbers are like during the "slow times" of the year and what percentages are needed for each WDW resort to turn a profit.

I must be one of those snobs too, b/c we have stayed at music(not the suites) and movies, and have been less than impressed. Lovin the POP, would like some family suites there!!!
