Pubugg No worries for Gregory, my dd is 10 - and I've counted several kiddies amongst the glow crowd - I'm going to bring lots of extra glow necklaces/sticks to hand out!!

LOVE the countdown, it really is a great idea - I WANT ONE!! and can I just say, I love the typo!!

couldnt get any adrs today my 30 day window - what's up with that? Because the one year we went end of Sept and because all the posts say low crowds, I was hugely shocked and stressed because it was CROWDED - so just prepare for the worst, and lets be pleasantly surprised!! I'm thinking the week before the 22 will be much lower crowds than after - and I'm basing that on my past experience - with adrs and with full resorts!! It wont be 4th of July Christmas crowded, but it may feel like JULY!! (heat and humidity!!)

For countdown, go to www.tickerfactory.com. As for ADRs, there is a World Series Softball tournament going on 9/20-9/23 (? exact dates) so that could be why ADRs are booking. LOTS of games being played at WWoS and even other cities close by.

Being accompanied by my 10yr DN Gregory. Told him about the party, he is all up for it. Wanting to know if there will be more kids there. Found really cool glow in the dark spinning tops at the Dollar Store. They also have, what appears to be, this neon green spiderwebby stuff to put out. May look really cool with window decorations (to those of you decorating). I'm on the low end of the artsy-craftsy creativity scale, so well see

My 2 boys are 8, will be 9 on Mon and 13, so he'll have someone to talk to, play with.

So, I finally finished dd's countdown calendar and it starts counting down at 30 days so she gets to start tomorrow

Great countdown. With the one I made (if you wanna call it that) I just took some paper and cut it into squares. I put 1 number on each square. It's posted on the fridge and each day, I just take down one square and replace it with the next number.

You probably waited too long. I did mine in April when I made my ressies and I was able to get the times I wanted. Although the parks may be empty, the TS will be full. My suggestion is go to the place you want to eat at at least an hour before you wanted your adr's for. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long as there may be some people who don't show up or cancel altogether.

I have not been on DIS most of summer due to computer problems (DOA and now replaced) & extra work hours.
I am on the list but wrong dates (We will actually be @ POP 18-27).

We made ADRs for 9:30 because of a late lunch and want to see Spectromagic so we will head over after dinner and see who is still glowing at the Hippie Pool.

I will be ordering from Garden Grocer too if there is something specific anyone thinks of over next couple of weeks.

Jenni, love the countdown. For mine all I did was scribble some numbers on the calendar which I mark off everyday. I'm not very creative.

Ahhh, 28 days! It's getting so close. I'm going to freak when the first person leaves, we won't leave til 21st. So we won't be the first of the last. \

Kelli, any particular juice you prefer, or just anything we can fine will do? We're taking a big soft sided cooler to put our soda in, we maybe could loan it to ya for the party.

What time is the party starting? Our Chef Mickey's reservation isn't til 8:30 [couldn't get it earlier] !!!

I have shorts, tops, jewelry, makeup, curling iron, hair spray, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, chapstick, fans, noise machines, water bottles, cameras, cell phones, chargers, 3 pairs of shoes, 1 dress, our EPCOT yard of ale glass!! PJ's, Tinkerbelle gifts for DD, more stuff!!

eeyore45 - Why do you bring your Epcot yard of ale glass? I'm a newbie and we have 2 of them from May. Do you get cheaper refills or something? Thanks.

Don't feel bad about being one of the last to show up...we get there on the 22nd too. I hope we aren't too tired after flying all the way from the West Coast w/ a 10 month old. I'll be at our party no matter what though...even if it is only for a short time.

- where'd my quotes go?? Weather is awful here - more storms, tornado warnings etc.. radar picture we're in the red yellow storm area!

Sunlover At Rose and Crown in EPCOT you can buy a yard of ale for (guessing price!) $11 and then they'll refill the same glass for $7! So I just bring back the yard of ale glass year after year (and I know its a huge debate about the refillable mugs - but apparently its no problem to refill the yards of ale!!)

We found that to be the best bargain (as a small glass of beer is $5 - to get a whole 1/2 yard for $7 we'd just use the 1/2 yard as a "pitcher")

ADR's I'm all set with the ADR's except I have LeCellier for 8:30 pm and I wanted to get it earler - its usually easy to get it changed 30 days prior! MM is at 4 - I wanted it around 5 - I will go late to MM and early to LC - and see how it goes!! and I'll keep calling!!

PS I really dont want anyone to panic with my opinion of crowds - I've just never forgoten how it felt to think "low crowds everyone on the DIS says so "- and then to be hit with lines everywhere - even in the FP lanes! (I used ************ that year!) For food and wine - first weekend - of course you should expect crowds, or avoid EPCOT!! The crowds are part of the ambiance! I know we've all planned, we're totally prepared here - if there are low crowds - its a "perk" or a "DREAM" if not, I'm prepared - either way I know I wont be disappointed!!!

I hear you on the weather. I'm at work in Lagrange and they made us go to the shelter area. I heard a warehouse collapsed near West Chicago and people are trapped I hope everyone is OK. Where are you from in Illinois?
