Don't get me wrong, I probably would take the upgrade for the bigger accomodations, but my kids are grown. I don't think any of us are going to get the option.. So far it is only for end of Aug/first of Sept dates.

The party is indeed on the 22nd and just whenever you get there. I will be getting there about 8:30, after dinner at Le Cellier (unless I stay for Illuminations that night, but I'll probably go a different night.). There are several of us that are doing Spectro/ Wishes before, so they won't be there until about 10. Also, if you have plans to be at MGM on the 24th, a group will be meeting up to watch the 8PM Fantasmic together. You are welcome to join us there too!

Welcome, Karen! I am one of the ones who will be catching Spectro/Wishes that night so probably won't get there till around 10pm. Hope to see you there. In the mean time come and chat with us! It makes the time go by so much faster

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.I'm so excited for our upcoming trip! Waiting for 9-17 is killing me though. I work like a dog from Novenber until March (snowsports industry) and the rest of the year I am off. Normally, I'd be spending my summer goofing off with my kids and veggin' out. But now I'm in full "plan for Disney" mode. I'm constantly thinking about packing, and ADRs and money and baggalinis and crocs and shipping boxes and photopass and frigde swaps and everything else that DISers think about!! By the way...what's the lime green thing?

Okay silly questions maybe, but spectro is the light up parade at MK right? Oh and I read about something else that is "lights on water" does anyone know what Im talking about? Where is it and when? The only thing we have ever seen is wishes and I want to make sure I see all the good stuff this time around! Thanks in advance for your help

Spectro is the light parade. I have no idea about the water thingy.

I have to admit, I have a worry. Is there going to be soo many people that we'll all be standing there like idiots staring at each other? We all need to practice our "mix-and-mingling" skills.

The Electric light pageant is what i think it's called. It's boates lit up with lights that travel around the water near MK at around 9 pm each night. I think it's visible from the polynesian, Ft. Wilderness, Grand Floridian, and Contemporary. Check out allears.net for more info.

Karen Lime Green is just our cool Dis color. Kind of like my high school colors were maroon and gold (Ack! I KNOW!). Things like the LGMH (Lime Green Mickey Head)s from Home Depot are easy to spot, so spot one and you've more than likely found a Disser. NOW- How did the color get picked/ started? I have NO clue! But Kudos to whomever started it!

As I recall the story, DIS'ers (dizzers?) wanted a signature color so as to stand out from the crowds, and chose lime green because it does stand out so well. Of course, nowadays it's a really popular color, so they don't stand out as much, but it's still somewhat distinctive.

OT: My dd's favorite color is green (lime green, whenever she can get it), and we were in DL and Las Vegas for a couple of weeks last December. Our hotel in LV had a thing where you could make a dvd of yourself on a flying carpet over LV. It utilizes green screen technology so when we did it, much of my dd was transparent because she was wearing green clothing. They recommended that we come back and try again when she wasn't wearing green. I couldn't bring myself to tell them that, out of a wardrobe of 8 days' worth of clothes, she didn't have a single thing that wasn't green. Sigh. At least it's easy to shop for her.

Back on T: I found the ultimate DIS-geek accessory today-a lime green crocs baseball cap. It's made by (or for) crocs, and actually has the little croc dude on the front. And it's lime green! I couldn't quite bring myself to buy one because it was $18 and I already had the POTC crocs for my ds and $30 worth of jibbitz in my cart, but I may be making a trip back to West Marine (becky--the one by PIR, near Marine Drive). It's sooo tempting.
