I know I've asked this before, but the replies I got were... well... not good. So I'm going to ask again and maybe get something better.

What is going on with the Golden Years section of the Pop Century? Is it going to be completed?

:confused3 When we were there last March they were working on the other part of pop across the lake. Are they not working on it anymore? Will it not open now? I was hoping to stay there when we go in December. :sad2:

The other side was used for bus training, stunt car training, overflow parking, and a parking lot expansion for the 1950's section. No actual construction has taken place for many years.

I thought they had buildings on the other side done when we were there. I thought they had a main hall, and 20's building, or maybe I am wrong. All of those buildings are used for training? :confused3

Yes, Legendary Hall as well as two 1940s buildings have been partially constructed. They have been that way for something like 3-5 years now.

Ok how about this... why have/did they stopped building it? Besides for bus training and that stuff, I'm sure they have room elsewhere to do that.

Tyler is offering up as little info as possible, but I think that I have heard(possibly from Tyler on another thread) that Disney is not going to finish it until they see the need for the rooms.

I'm offering very little info, because that's really all the info there is out there right now. There are no current plans to finish the Legendary Years. Speculation is that they are waiting for tourism to rise up to a point where opening that section would not take too many away from the All-Stars.

It is a shame that it is the part of the resort that is so close to Victory Way that you can really see. I assume when they find the need, they will finally finish it, but it may be MANY years in the future.

It seems like business is really up this year. If it continues like this, maybe they will do it soon. I hope so.:flower:

I'm sorry if I was.. I don't know the word.. I didn't mean to sound cocky or anything.. lol. My sister had asked me about it. And every answer I gave her didn't umm.. fulfill what she wanted to know (not that she was being cocky either). But the answer about waiting until tourism rises makes sense.

Before when I asked this, someone told me if Disney was going to continue on the Legendary years they would have to tear down what they have now. Is that also true?

That sounds crazy. I doubt that they would do that. I bet Tyler can tell us?

It's possible, but I'm not sure if they'd have to tear down what they have... they'd certainly have to do some rehab work. Although, come to think of it, they might rebuild Legendary Hall to accommodate some upgrades, changes, and improvements. (like an even BIGGER front desk... lol)

Eh... I just know what I know... and for what I don't know, I make my best educated guess.
