On Disney property, we usually just stay at Pop. But this time we're going to stay at CBR. I've stayed in both preferred and standard rooms at Pop, and there is a lot of walking involved it seems, especially from the parking lot. Maybe it's my imagination, or maybe with the extra floors they are truly just more cars percentagewise, meaning we have to park further back. Not sure if this will be a factor since CBR only has two floors. I noticed everyone mentions how massive CBR is in regard to buses. We are going to be driving, so we don't need to worry about any bus waits. My concern is walking time from a standard room to the main pool/gift shop/parking. It's a little hard to compare on the map. I'm thinking of requesting Jamaica since it seems to be the closest standard rooms to the pool, unless someone can verify that not all Martinique rooms are preferred.

On our last trip, we stayed in the Aruba village, building 55. It's one of the farther buildings from the food court area (outside of maybe Barbados #11), and it was an easy 4 or 5 minute stroll. Really, the biggest deal with walking is the pirate rooms at Trinidad South.

We just returned from a stay in North Trinidad 31. It was a 3 minute walk to the pool, and 4 to OPR. I believe it's considered preferred, but we were booked in a water view, which is a lower category.

Parking was always plentiful. If there were 10 cars parked outside our building that was a lot. There was always plenty of parking at OPR, too.
