Poor Unfortunate Souls ~ A Spooktacular Trip Back to the World! UPDATE Reality Check

Just read through your whole TR and it's wonderful!

It sounds like a close-to-perfect trip so far.

You are such an adorable couple!

Loved your Future World day!

I'm sorry you had to deal with a migraine, but glad you were able to be up and about for dinner!

Hey Guys

Sorry I've been MIA for the past week, came down with flu, yet again!!!So over this flu I tell you, third time in two months!!!

Anywho, will try and get an update up soon, but in the meantime onto replies :teeth:

The KTTK tour is awesome! Tom and I have done it twice! Loved it both times!
We did the Behind the Seeds tour in September and it was real informative and fun. Very enjoyable little tour! One of the best moments were when we all went out "onstage" into the green houses and people were staring at us with their mouths WIDE open! :rotfl2:

Don't worry if you missed Captain EO! We walked onto it, as it was about to start, and I was bored to death! This is SO 80s - and outdated. Sorry MJ fans - I love his songs but this is too far off!
You can go see it in Paris, but I would NOT spend a long time in line for it! Skip it, you won't miss much!

I have heard KTTK is awesome, looking forward to doing it next year :)

Thats cool going onstage for BtheS, can imagine people faces thinking what are they doing there

Will most prob skip Captain EO in Paris, as there is so much to do there when we go am worried we won't be able to fit everything in.

ToT is different in Paris, it's like the one in Disneyland. Always the same ride, VERY slow loading - we only do it when we can get hold of a FP or it is a walk-on.
We did nothing than ride it when it pre-opened for AP holders before they officially opened it. Now then it was fun, we would just walk all the way around and ride again with a gazillion people watching, who wanted to ride, but could not, as it was passholders only.
We were not all that bad, as every passholder was allowed a guest, so we took a lot of people on the ride over the two days we were there.

Captain EO is really not worth the wait! :sad2:

I do understand what you mean about not having enough time during a 10 day visit. We go for a week in February and it feels like the moment we arrive we have to turn around and leave again!
I can't remember what resort you want to stay at, but have you considered doing the villa resort offer Disney.co.uk has? They are 42% off the rack rate AND free dining. Maybe if you go that route you might be able to add a few days?

Wow now thats cool about ToT :teeth: Hopefully we will get to ride it at least once this trip.

What my darling fiancée has neglected to mention is that we are also doing a 3 night cruise concierge level, staying at the Poly, Deluxe Dining plan and either Premium Economy or Upper Class for our flights. If we weren't doing even half of that we would be staying for our usual 14 nights, but we wanted to try something different and the cruise looks absolutely awesome!

Just read through your whole TR and it's wonderful!

It sounds like a close-to-perfect trip so far.

You are such an adorable couple!

:welcome: and thanks for reading along :)

It was a really great trip, can't wait to go back next year :teeth:

Loved your Future World day!

I'm sorry you had to deal with a migraine, but glad you were able to be up and about for dinner!

Thanks :)

It wasn't as bad as when we were supposed to have dinner at Boma, least it was more manageable, but still not fun all the same :(

I just had to share with you guys the amazing gifts that the wonderful Karin and Tom sent to us, how awesome are they?!??!?

Dave keeps eyeing up the strawberry one at the mo, as he loves anything strawberry! Thank you again

Hi Stefy! :goodvibes

I just found your TR last night and am now all caught up on your adventures. And can I just say about the love bugs- OMG!!! They were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo horrible before you arrived! Do you remember that we left the day you got there? Well, the rain the day before you came was SO strong I bet it killed them all. You're a lucky girl!princess: They were the NASTIEST!!

Your table at CRT was awesome- I really need to go there- can you believe I have never been? Well, that's what you get for having 3 sons, I guess.

Are you going to do a TR for DLP, too? Would love to hear all about it!

OK- looking forward to more!popcorn::

Ellen

Hi Stefy and Dave!

I am happy to read that you received your little present! Glad you like it! ;) But I had a feeling you would!

There is a story going with the ToT Stitch! As I stated in my trip report, we walked into the ToT giftshop and I nearly fell over when I saw they were no longer selling him. We were looking for anything Stitch and ToT, but no luck - only the figurine we already sent the two of you.
So, when we found the Starwars Stitch I picked it up for you, so at least we had "a little" something to send to you.
On our last day we walked into the shop behind Space Mountain and they had about 10 of the ToT Stitch left! :scared1: You have never seen anyone pick one up and pay for it so fast! :rotfl:

Now, if you like the chocolate - there is more where that came from. Let me know which one is your favourite and I'll get you "a bit more"! ;)

Oh my goodness, I love the Stitch Yoda! How have I never seen that before?

Isn't he just awesome :teeth: I can't wait to see what other Stitch merchandise they have in DLRP soon :teeth:

Wow so we missed the rain and the lovebugs as we got there, awesome :teeth: Hopefully for you it rained on your last day and not during :)

Am a little worried we will encounter the little critters next year for sure as we are going early September rather than late.

CRT was awesome and you should try and eat there if you can, breakfast, lunch or dinner I am sure will be a good meal :)

Am defo doing a DLRP TR and prepare yourself for tons of pics as we will be taking everything and anything

Oh goodness, sounds like ToT was a tricky one, but thankfully you found his hiding place :teeth: They are both so cool, thank you again :teeth:

We haven't hit the other flavours yet, but will let you know which ones we like the best.

Day 6 - Tuesday 5th October

Today was another Epcot Day, but with a special twist. Food and Wine baby, we were getting to eat and drink around the World and soak in WS which is my favourite part of Epcot.

We had no breakfast planned and decided to sleep in as we were in no rush to get to Epcot, considering WS opens at 11am.

WDWTrip2010834.jpg

Little balloon pic for you there, was a must buy on my list :teeth:

Once dressed and ready we made the short walk over to the Monorail and hopped on board ready to start our gastronomical adventure.

We decided to go counter clockwise and start with Greece as our first port of call. We arrived before the stalls opened up so wandered and took a few pics before getting in line for our first F&W snack of the day.

All ready to go.

WDWTrip2010838.jpg

We both went for one snack here, the Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki.
1da02200.jpg

Delish but not enough even for one person, but then we can't get greedy here as we had tons of other carts to gorge on throughout the day!

We lined up at the Canada cart next, I wasn't feeling any of the food so Dave went for the Moosehead Beer.
34.jpg

WDWTrip2010845.jpg

Dave says it was very refreshing and a great way to kick off his drink around the world.

We decided to explore Canada as we have never done so on our past trips and I gotta say it is such a beautiful pavilion, I took soooooooo many pics, so sorry if you get bored of them after the first 10

I must admit, for all the rude people we encountered, there were some nice people that evened it out (ever so slightly). A nice lady saw me attempting to take the MySpace shot and offered to take our picture.

Ok that's the last one, I promise :teeth:

So nice relaxing walk done we were ready for more food. The next cart on our route was...Ireland!

My snacky
bc947090.jpg

Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Irish Cream Ganache, rich + moist + warm = Heaven! :cloud9:

Dave's snacky, or should I say drinky was...
45.jpg

Guinness! Not much to say really other than he enjoyed it. Maybe he could comment on all his drinks later on :)

We sat down in England to enjoy these and also took a few pics.

WDWTrip2010890.jpg

Our next cart was a bit of a walk, but we were in no hurry and strolled along taking everything in, as so far this day was going fantastically :goodvibes

I think this is where they have the Dessert Party, is a great spot. So we headed on down to take some more pics :teeth:

I am the same way taking pictures - I take LOADS - thank god for digital photography! ;)
Keep the photos and food coming! It's been a long and boring day at school! :sad2:

England hasn't been done too bad, still got the old world feel to it, but still beautiful :)

Yes thank god for digital, don't know what we would do without, same as Google

Lots more to come, we took sooo many pictures this day and we did quite well with food too :teeth:

WDWTrip2010939.jpg

Still never made it to this place for some cake :(
WDWTrip2010941.jpg

But cake aside (can't believe I just said that!), we had more carts to hit. France was the next one on the list.

We both went for Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes.
b42ddd4b.jpg

This was soooo good, could have done with more meat, but yummy all the same, mash was soft and creamy too which well well with the sauce.

Next on the agenda was this beauty, which is not part of F&W but a must have all by any means!

WDWTrip2010943.jpg

9013704c.jpg

This was delish and refreshing and I can't believe I have only tried it now! So going on the list of must have every trip :teeth:

PRINCESS WATCH! We happened to stumble upon royalty again and who should we bump into but Belle and her Beast (sorry Prince).

Photo0157FourBySix.jpg

Beast is so big, but looks so cute ambling around. He must have been so hot in that suit!

Belgium was next. Had to go for the Freshly Baked Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream which was very good.

8e1ea892.jpg

Dave went for a Stella.
39.jpg

Not sure he was too keen on this one. Is a bit of a hit and miss at home, is more of a cheapy beer with not so nice afterness.

Next up was Morocco, I was still drinking my Grey Goose and had just finished the waffle so skipped on this one. Dave went for a Casa Beer instead.

40.jpg

WDWTrip2010945.jpg

Rested and ready to go we explored Morocco some more.

Australia was next and the Grilled Lamp Chop with Roasted Potato Salad and Red Wine Reduction and my god it was good. Was tempted later on that day to go back and get another one

2adf7724.jpg

The meat was so tender and combined with the sauce, pure genuis :teeth:

Then it was Japan's turn.

Dave went for the Kirin Draft Beer and Wabu Ribettes, whilst I went for the California Sushi Roll.

Just looked through our pics and there is no pic of the beer, but never fear we do have food porn!
559270bc.jpg

All tasted good, although a bit rushed as the only spot we had to eat them in was in the sun and boy was it hot beaming down on you!

After our mini Japanese feast we headed into Mitsukoshi to do some shopping. Love this store, not just for Pick a Pearl but we love anything oriental and take our time looking through everything.

I ended up spending a small fortune on a few tees, dolls and snacks. But first point of call was Pick a Pearl.

A tradition for every trip and one that I am more than happy to carry on with :teeth:

Dave bought himself some Sake, also drank some too as well whilst I was in line buying my purchases. Bless him he does take drinking around the world seriously doesn't he

42.jpg

Shopping done, we went outside to explore some more. I love the Japan pavilion, so beautiful with its architecture and gardens. Esp the Koi pond.

We stumbled across this guy who looked pretty menacing.

WDWTrip2010985.jpg

I also wanted to check out this exhibit.

Goodnight all :)

Holy long update!!! You KNOW I love it, though! WS is my absolute favorite! Looks like you guys had a fantastic day of food and drink!

Day 7 - Tuesday 5th October

WDWTrip2010868.jpg

Cntd...

I had to laugh at this picture because it is SUCH a Nikki pose!!

Oh, the place in "England" down by the lake? That is the spot we scored for the 4th of July fireworks this summer. It really was the best location we ever watched Illuminations from so I'm not surprised that they might do parties there. They don't do them every night like the Wishes dessert party, right? I was hoping to score that spot again next time!

We both went for Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes.
b42ddd4b.jpg

:scared1: YUM!!! That looks awesome!

I loved how you experienced all WS had to offer. A lot of people don't know how to slow down and really appreciate it for what it is.

Can't believe Dave and his drinks! We would have a blast meeting up in WS together! :lmao: Too bad the dates didn't work out for next Sept. :(

One can never post too many pictures of WS!!! I love your tour so far! :goodvibes

Also... I'm noticing a trend... I am LOVING your shirts!!! :thumbsup2

It is a pretty long update, maybe I shouldn't have gone so mad, but then this is my latest update in over a week so

I had to laugh at this picture because it is SUCH a Nikki pose!!

Lol, ah yes. You should have posted a pic to compare :teeth: Dave was quite photogenic this day, must have been all that sweet nectar

Least I think that's where the party is as we walked by one night and there were tables and lots of people. But it is a sweet spot and a nice place to sit and soak too :)

I absolutely love WS and when I know we are going for the day I get so excited. We really did stop and smell the roses on this day and it was a great day for it :)

I am gutted that our paths won't cross next year, would have been awesome to grab a margaritas with you guys, maybe next time :)

Thank you, I think we tend to overload on pictures of WS, but then it is a beautiful place to get lots and lots of pics :teeth:

Ah yes, on my PTR my mission was to get a Disney t shirt every month so I could wear a different one everyday on this trip. Was lots of fun, although I had to leave a few behind at home when packing because I had bought too many

It was an awesome day! Getting to wake up without the alarm and just chilling until World Showcase opened was a nice way to do it. Having done Future World the day before, we didn't feel a need to rush to Epcot to go on Test Track or Soarin. Starting with the Moosehead was nice because it was a nice light beer, great way to start it off and then walking through Canada which, we had never done before was loads of fun :goodvibes

I think September/October is my fave time to go to WDW. Between Food & Wine and Halloween there's just so much to see and do and experience. I think you really get more for your money during these times.

I remember your thread as well lol, you were going through the drinks pretty quick if I remember correctly ;)
