I don't think they will be open.

What do you think the chances are that somebody will try to use the pool in 40 degree weather?

Asking because my dd is a lifeguard and is currently scheduled to work. I would love for her to not freeze outside at the pool. It’s going to be rough weather for the CMs that are stationed outside.

I know this is past but I thought I'd comment in case it helps for the future. At the Poly the pool was closed both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was in the 20s at night and 30s during the day. The pool opened 12/26 even though it was 50 degrees with a wind chill making it colder. I saw some people swimming! I am from New England and I was like no way lol

We're from Wisconsin and I guarantee you that my DD would have been in that pool! The water is actually quite warm. I'm glad that they reopened the pools even though it was still a bit frosty.

My kids always swim, regardless of the air temp. They are in season swimmers, and need to train. Unless the pools are closed, they're in the water.

If you are a diehard the pools aren't bad as long as you stay in the water. My understanding is Disney pools are heated to 83°.
The pools in our 2 clubhouses are heated to 88° and I swim. Fun to see the fog come off the water. As always, getting out isn't all that but you still have some residual heat as long as you can get back to the towels quick enough.

I can echo that yes- the pools are definitely heated and my kids were so warm when they were in the water! Also on the two days that the Poly pool was closed they had the pool entertainment people doing some fun activities inside the grand ceremonial house. I will say that the cold temperatures were a bummer for us. I love being in the warm sunshine poolside but that was just the gamble we took by booking for late December!
