Pools at POP - any shade?

We will be going in July, - nuf said. I'll be looking for a little shade while I sit by the pool. After looking at the photos of the pool areas, they look a little bare. Are there shady areas I'm not seeing in the photos. Or should I just break out the Shake and Bake and expect to be "roastin' and toastin'" in the hot mid-day Florida sun?

You are correct. What you have seen is what you'll get. There isn't much shade at the Pop Century pools. But we didn't seem to have much trouble with it. Just stay in the pool, bring a sun visor or some other hat. Oh, and don't forget the sunscreen.

They have tables with umbrellas, I'll look for a picture that I took in September and post it.

Depending on when you are out at the pools (and thus the location of the sun <insert science>), I recall a few chairs under trees at the pool directly behind the food court. We got in our first day and went to the pool while waiting for our room to be ready. It was a hot June day and we got a "good base" (read as: burn) right away. I burn in 15 minutes though...

Good luck finding enough shade. We're back in early May this year, I'll have to pay more attention.

I think the POP pools have more shade than the AS pools. The tables are a good option if you can get one. I usually just pick a chair based on where the sun is coming from. The palm trees give off a bit of shade if you are sitting next to them.

When I first read the title of your thread, I thought you were asking what color water the pools have...and then I thought, if its green, you should stay out of the water.

The hippy dippy pool has shade throughout the day.
