Pool Towels @ Value Resorts

Hi. We will be staying at AS Sports and will be arriving in the early moring probablly before our room is ready. Planning to hit the pools during the day and wondered if there are towels at the AS pools (I have seen conflicting info). If not, I will probably just ask for some at the reception when we arrive.

I've never stayed at AS sports, but I've stayed at Pop and AOA and there are no pool towels provided. They have towel return boxes located in the pool areas, but you have to bring the towels from your room. I've always assumed it was the same for all the value resorts.

We brought our room towels down to the pool at AoA but instead of calling Mousekeeping for new towels, we were able to get them from the towel cart by the elevators just inside our building. Not sure if there are towel carts out in other buildings as well...

No towels at value pools. If your room isn't ready and you want to swim it should be easy enough to get towels if you go a building near the pool. As pp said, there are usually carts around building elevators, or just ask a housekeeping cm to help you.

I've seen towel carts everytime. Just grab some and go. In fact twice there have been towel carts at the pool.

If you ask housekeeping to leave you extras for the pool they will as well.

We've always had to bring towels with us to the pool at ASMo. In fact, there's a little card on the sink that says there are no towels at the pool and to bring your own. I just give Mousekeeping a buzz when we get to our room and they're happy to bring us a huge stack of 'em.

That seems odd. So what do you do with your used, wet pool towels...bring them back to your room? or are there used towel bins poolside? Seems like a hassle to have to bring them from your room and then have to call for extras. Why don't they automatically stock rooms with an extra set of pool towels?

There are used towel bins at the pool. The two times I saw actual carts of clean towels at the pool they were by the return bins.

And I would think that they don't stock your room with towels because

1. It's a value and you get the minimum perks.

2. If you notice a lot of times you have adults staying at values who say that one of their reasons for choosing values is that they don't do pool/resort time. They only shower and sleep.

I have never used a pool at the value both because I'm not a sunbather and because with no hot tub I'm not interested in just standing/swimming around a basic pool.

And that is why we leave large Disney themed beach towels in our Owners Locker. It's so nice to just drape one over the back of a chaise..then you know exactly which seat is yours when you get out of the pool. And...no one thinks that the seat is vacant and the previous person just forgot to remove their towel!!!
