Pool Slide at OKW and Parking

We have most of our points at OKW and stay there 90 % of the time. We are for a pool slide at OKW but will never use it but our grandkids will. We always have our car.
I wonder what this will do to the parking lot which is already crowded. At the present time, folks in the back part of the resort probably drive to the HH and park for hours to use the main pool. Folks trying to check in park for hours waiting for their villa, eat at Olivia's, take the boat to DD. Now when the slide becomes available the pool will be even more popular.
We checked in Jan 25 and had to park in spaces at Bldg 11. And we were there for three hours waiting for our villa.
I don't know of any solution but it has to become more of a problem.

Bill, didn't think of this but you are right. When we are with my parents it's a non-issue for us because Mom uses a scooter and has a HC parking ticket, but when we are just us 4 I have noticed it IS hard to get a spot... So may folks at OKW have their cars...

You are right that it's probably going to increase the problem. After all, we may have "pool hoppers" stopping by, too. ;)

I would hope they would at least put in some limited time parking to allow for checking in. They might also want to think about divulging at least the building number (or even area) where people will be staying. I know I'd be delighted to move my car closer to where my eventual villa will be located.

So when I checkin to OKW,

say that I can stay in where parking isn't needed....

Sometimes they move me.

Goldi.

Interesting premis. We never drive to HH even when we are staying at South Point. I always think parking is so difficult to get at HH, that it seems like a waste of time to drive there. We either walk or hop a bus.

that is one reason why I don't like to be to close to HH - when we stayed in building 11 - there were no spaces - I think it was building 13 before I found a parking space - I moved it that night when parking was availability - but I say never again - so I haven't ever asked to near the HH since then.

but some people like it - if you want to be near HH - that is a problem you must live with - sorry!

We walk everyhwere so it isn't a problem for us. I think of it as a savings for the environment and the exercise it better for us. We only do parks about 2 out of 7 days so walking is good. Maybe more people should do it...

They already have 15 minute parking spaces for this.
