Yes, the pools are heated. Generally the adult pool, being the largest, is also the coolest of the three.

Well they must have forgot to pay the heating bill early last week!! The kids pool & Goofy pool were FREEZING!!!

Even my kids said the water was cold, never heard that from them!!!

Really the reason they were freezing for us was due to the near gale force winds on Sunday & Monday. When we went in them on Thursday they were pretty warm, not much wind to cool them off.

someone mentioned to me that the pools on the ship might have salt water do the Disney ships?

The pools were pretty warm when we were on...the adult pool was 80 and the goofy pool was 81. No pool on board is big enough to do laps in...I guess you could swim across the adult pool and back but about 6 strokes would get you from one end to the other LOL. The pools are not salt water.

DCL pool are desalinated so they are, by virtue of the process...fresh water pools...

Last November we found that when the ship was docked the Mickey pool was very warm. In fact, in St. Marteen & St. Thomas the ear was downright hot...like a hot tub. On sea days the wind cooled them down. We also found that on rough sea days the pools turn into wave pools. LOL! The kids were sitting on either side of the Mickey pool riding the waves as they went over the sides on Thursday. The Goofy pool was closed and we could see the water splashing up above the deck. That is something else because it looks like the pool surface is a few feet below the deck surface.
