I didn't think we would really do this, but the more I think about it, we just might try it. We just joined DVC at AKV and will be having our first trip in Nov. We've never seem any of the other resorts and thought it might be fun to go to lunch at Beaches and Cream and while we are there, maybe go for a swim. My question is where would we change into and out of our bathing suits? Do they have bathrooms and/or lockers that we could use and have access to? They have towels there too right? My DS8 loves to swim and I know he would love the lazy river. Plus this will give us a chance to decide if we want to stay there sometime. As always thanks in advance for all of your thoughts and advice!!!! :goodvibes

Sorry but the problem with your plan is that BCV pools are not available for pool hopping. This was instituted due to the popularity of SAB when the BCV's first opened. if you really want to try pool hopping, a lot of people who pool hop seem to like the Poly pool.

Bummer. I thought while we were checking out the resort we might as well swim!!! Maybe another trip then. I really want to stay at our new home - AKV for our first trip as DVC. But would really love to stay at Kadani - but it won't be open in Nov.

As a new member, you really need to read up on all the rules and regs of DVC. No pool hopping during holiday or other busy times for anywhere from four or five days to more than a week around the day. No pool hopping to AKL/AKV, YC/BC/BCV (any of the pools there). So if you are going at Thanksgiving time, you won't be able to pool hop at all.

Check out the dvc member website to find out more about what you can and cannot do.

By the way, no cots are provided, room occupancy is rather strict and you don't get extra towels without paying for them. Whew, I think that just about covered the main points.

Also, welcome home.
