Can DVC members pool hop at the Dolphin/Swan? Also, has pool hopping traditionally been suspended in the period of July 3-10? We are going then this year (never gone in the summer before) and my in-laws may be at the Dolphin. I know they can't come to our pool at BWV but was wondering if we can go to theirs. Any ideas? Thanks. Sue

I dont think you can,But I am not for sure.I think with the Swan and Dolphin not being Disneys resorts that it would not count as being able to pool hop.I also dont think that you will be able to pool hop during that time in July,Again I am not for sure.Maybe someone can answer that knows for sure:p

No, the Swan/Dolphin pools are not included in pool hopping privileges (they are not Disney resorts).

However, you should have no problem joining your family for a swim as a guest at their resort ... and they should have no problem joining you for a swim as a guest at your resort.

Enjoy! :)

Here are the dates that have been announced for pool hopping "blackout"

Resort hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time due to capacity limitations. Due to the high occupancy that is expected, Disney Vacation Club Members may not "pool hop" during the following dates*:
April 3 - 11, 2004
May 28 - 31, 2004
June 28 - July 4, 2004
November 22 - 28, 2004
December 18, 2004 - January 2, 2005

Another thought -- For those who are predicting the end of pool hopping, I wonder if this means that it's safe at least through the end of the year.

I agree with you Pam. That's what it would seem like and I hadn't thought of it that way. Thanks.

I had no idea that my family could join me as my guest over at the BWV pool? I know my nephews would get a huge kick out of the clown pool but assumed it was off limits for them. I thought they were very strict about checking room keys, etc. Can you please clarify? Thank you. Sue

Drat. And I was hoping to have a pool party at SSR sometime that week. Perhaps I'll have to contact my friend that will be there and see if they can invite us over.

Generally, if you have a reasonable number of visitors you are allowed to bring them to the pool with you at any WDW resort. Of course, if 50 of your closest friends and relatives are coming to party with you at the pool, that's a problem. If you would like to sit by the pool with your in-laws while your nephew tries out the pool, that should be possible. You could double-check at the desk before extending the invitation.
