Have been out of the loop for a while. Thinking of staying the first few days of next trip in a NICE pool home. Can someone recommend a nice place close to the parks for a reasonable price? Thank you.

HMMMMM, interesting that the "number one" property managers in the area do not have 5, 6, or 7 bedroom homes to offer on the web site....could it be that Fliesure owns or operates this company and this is an add???

I don't know either way about FLleisure owning a business. However, I have found FLleisure to be very helpful and knowledgable in my quest to find a rental home. I went through orlandovillas.com and got a nice looking pool home at a great price. Unfortunately I haven't stayed there yet (trips is upcoming). So, it is just another site to check in to.

What am I going to do with you Ted?

We know each other from 3-4 years back on Go2Orlando and you still have your doubts !! :)

Anyway, here goes.....the link I put on this thread was a link to the web site of Central Florida Property Managers Association (CFPMA). This is the ONLY association in the area that controls the activities of property managers in the short term rental business.

This association has a strong code of ethics and tries to police the activities of property managers when there is absolutely nothing or no-one else out there who can or will. It is an association that really cares about the paying public.

Ted, I know you have a house on Emerald Island and it maybe that your management company is a member of the association, therefore you might actually benefit from the link given.

If your MC isn't a member then you should be asking why not ?

Further, you mention that only 3 and 4 bed homes are featured. Well spotted. There is a good reason for this at present and that is the marketing committee of CFPMA didn't want to complicate things in what is, after all, a web site that has only been going for about 6 months. By staying with 3 and 4 bed homes for now, it keeps it simple for all the CFPMA members who are involved in the site. Larger homes are available and folks can contact the individual companies directly if they like.

The simple fact is that CFPMA wants to convey a message that you can book a nice home and with the knowledge that there is an organisation behind it that will deal with any problems as they occur. Some folks will want to carry on booking directly with owners such as yourself and that's absolutely great...it becomes even better for that owner to say my home is manged by a member of CFPMA and here is the link to their site and what they stand for.

Hope that explains things.
