Thanks in advance for help!

We rented a home a couple of weeks ago and had such a great time that we plan to return in October.

Is pool heat needed late October? The owner didn't give any opinion.

I suggest pool heat from nov -end march but in reality my guests have it on for times other than that .If you have small children in the group then it is probably worth having as a cold pool makes miserable children which in turn makes a not so great vacation. You could wait until you get there and see what the water temp is like but be aware that the heater may well take 24 hours to kick in.In the end it is really a decision only you can make based on what temperature you like to swim in.

I would have pool heating in October. Also use a pool blanket overnight if there is one. Helps keep the water warm for morning swims.

What was suggested to us as owners is October-April to be sure. I would rather be safe then sorry.

I would say yes...we had friends stay in our place last October and they said the pool was too cold for their liking, of course, they never mentioned it until afterwards! LOL We could have turned it on for them....we even have ours on in May a lot of the time, we like our pool warm though!

Late Oct-April I would say you want it.

If they also have a spa then it's worth having the heat at any time of year to enjoy it to the full. Personally, we would want pool heat in October anyway.

Good choice, it is such a small percent of the whole week budget and nothing is more of a bummer than a cold pool!

enjoy...Ted
