pool@boardwalk which one closed?

Boardwalk Villas Community Pool --is that the clown pool? say it ain't so.........

It is definitely not the Clown Pool. It is the Quiet Pool by Community Hall. It will be closed from 4/21 to 5/9. I confirmed that today with Member Services. They will be resurfacing the Quiet Pool.

Does anyone know what it entails to resurface the pool. We have requested a room by the Quiet Pool with our one-year-old granddaughter. Will it be very noisy? Will they close the entire area?

We will arrive on 4/27 and I'm hoping that the resurfacing will be complete by then, but it is not scheduled to be complete until 5/9. We only have four days this trip.

I love the Community Hall Quiet Pool. We have never tried the Clown Pool, but any good reviews will help!!

thank you thank you thank you--we called down there and got conflicting reports and I am going with my best friend and her family-my son could really care less about the pool but her kids would go crazy if the big pool was not open.

this is the 1st time she is using her dvc membership


don't know what it takes to resurface-i would think they would sandblast it clean and then paint it? take a few days to dry? have a good one

The clown pool is called Luna Park.

Stephen 11-- there is a sweet kiddie pool adjacent to the clown pool and a little playground as well. If I recall correctly, the playground has spongy flooring that would be more gentle to a new walker! The clown pool is very large and has some friendly spraying elephants as well. You can also borrow life vests for the length of your stay. Have fun!

We have been DVC members since 1997 and fell in love with that Community Hall Quiet Pool way back then. My wife and I usually spend our time reading and relaxing by the pool. We have walked up to Luna Park for lunch or a drink at Leaping Horse Libations, but we never actually spent much time there.

I'm sure with our little granddaughter, things will be very different. I'm sure we will enjoy all the activities around the "clown" pool. I know she will just love those spouting elephants and the playground area.It will be a much different trip for us (maybe not so relaxing, but we are really looking forward to it)...
