Pool bars at the Resorts(POR) - are they open in December?

I see on the website that the poolside bars at the resorts are open seasonally. When exactly is that? We'll be going the week after Thanksgiving and I would assume that means it's closed, but I was hoping for the opposite

the only time I have seem them closed is during a rehab.

but hey I am going in Sept - if they are closed that will be time. I will tell you!

I've always seen the one at POR opened, during regular hours.

the only thing I have seem only open seasonal is the carts at the parks and at some resorts.

Don't think the value resort have them.

but the deluxe and moderate resorts have some stuff on carts too.

We were at AKL last year the 2nd week of December & the pool bar was open. The pool was open as well but it was too chilly to swim IMO. My crazy kids swam, we have pictures of us sitting on the beach chairs in our heavy winter coats watching them!

Open Seasonally

if it's cold or terribly windy, there aren't enough customers to pay to keep the pool bars open, so they close

typical day
open at 11:30
official word = pool bars close at dusk (some bartenders will remain open if thy're getting enough traffic to make it worthwhile)

We've been during the much colder month of January, and the pool bar, at a Deluxe, was open on the warmer days when someone was swimming.

I'm sure if there's a crowd at the pool, the bar will be open.
