Hi,

Just trying to decide between CR and WL for April with young family. Just about made the decision for CR on grounds of easy transportation until I read somewhere (and now can't find where?!?) that there is no childrens pool at CR and the main pool is not zero entry. My children are 2 and 5 and my 5yr old is not happy out of her depth in the pool even with arm bands. Maybe it will be WL after all

Thanks
Helen

Will they wear life vests? The resort provides them free of charge for their guests.

CR - has a big free form pool with a water slide.
It has a round pool which goes from 1 foot to maybe 3 - 4 foot in the center by Bay Lake.

I think they do rent life vests. They have them for the boat rentals - there is
also a pool building with stuff.
We picked up our towels there - I thought I also saw life vests.

You could call the CR directly and ask - 407-824-1000

With children aged 2 & 5 - the CR is the way to go.
You can see MK fireworks from MK.
You have the monorail to MK and EPCOT.
Best game room - very large like a Chuckie Cheese, you redeem tickets for prizes.
Great snack area - lots of choices.

Great transportation.
Great guest services at the front desk area for non-CL guests.
Decent Laundry room.

Very BIG rooms - largest of all WDW resorts. Great to have a small play area for the kids, without getting into luggage and furniture.

You may even be bumped from a WING to the TOWER

I would do the CR over AKL.

yes, no kiddie pool at CR. Pool is 3.5' deep. My then 5.5 yo could only "swim" with me holding her. They will give you life vests at no charge. Even with a bubble, the pool wasn't at much fun for my dd as the WL's. JMHO, but I'd stay at WL until your kids are able to swim on their own. It's a very short boatride away from CR, so you'll easily be able to hop over for Chef Mickey's, etc.

Have just read on allears.net that there is a 'toddler wading pool' and a 'small round pool which is shallow around the sides' - does this sound familiar to anyone and if so are they in the main pool area. If there is a pool with a shallow section my dd will be fine and a toddler wading pool should be OK for my youngest.

Thanks to all the experts
Helen
