pool at bcv

what does everyone think of bcv's pool? is there a pretty big beach area? good for little kids? is it a long/short walk to from the bcv's?

Which pool are you referring to...the quiet pool (Dunes Cove), or Stormalong Bay the main YC/BC pool?

We love SAB!!!

It is huge--a mini water park.

You do need to keep an eye on the young ones--it is a zero entry pool at some spots. There is an area where it is not very deep and there is plenty of sand to play in. Our boys (7and 5) LOVE it.

It is a short walk actually, even from the BC villas.

If you are staying there, I would HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of it.

I would have to second Doc and Family's post. SAB is the best pool on property IMHO. It is indeed a min-waterpark. However, it does get crowded during busy season.

The walk is not so bad to the pool. You will have to go through the BC lobby to get there, but it only took about 5-7 minutes. There are several sandy beach areas where the kids can build sandcastles, and inevitably bring some of the beach home with them in their suits . You do have to keep an eye on the kids though as sometimes the bottom drops off a bit unexpectedly because the sand has shifted and settled. It's not bat, but if you're not expecting it it's a little spooky.

SAB is great for kids of all ages. I nice zero entry sandy little kids area and the deep lazy river (really not too lazy) area plus the slide and many more areas as well (waterfalls, etc...). Kids of all ages love SAB. Even this 47 year old kid (except on my last trip there when the heater for the pool was broken) .

We LOVE SAB, and its required that we have a couple pool days each trip!

We just got back Friday from BCV. Our 2 year old loved SAB! We were in it every day. He also loved the smaller slide at the shipwreck, even though it dunked him under the water each time (I was at the bottom to help him to the steps.) He must have gone on it about 30 times.

Your kids will love it.
