Hi! I am new to the boards. We are booked at the Poly LV Concierge 9/27-10/4. I am considering leaving my 4-year-old twins at Neverland Club for an adults dinner. Do the CMs help the younger children get their food and get involved in activities? My twins are on the shy side and don't usually speak up when they are with strangers.

Thanks for any advice, Melanie

Last summer, DH and I finally decided to leave our two youngest(DS/6 an DD/4 at that time) at the NC and take our oldest DD/12 and her best friend out for an evening. I was hesitant at first, but after visiting the NC and seeing all the fun activities and meeting the staff I felt good about leaving them. There were video games, Disney movies, toys, arts/crafts, CM's reading to the kids and much more. The staff was great with the kids. DD/4 told me that even though she ate most of her dinner she still wanted a snack later and one of the CM's got her some fruit and juice. She really enjoyed the crafts and DS really enjoyed the video games. They loved it. The next morning, DS was asking when could he go back. So, the last night we were at WDW, he stayed at the NC again and we took all the girls for dinner and shopping at Downtown Disney. Once again, he had a great time. Ever so often, he still asks if he can go back to the NC on our next trip to WDW.
Parents are also given a pager so if something comes up with the kids(even if they just cry and want their parents). The CM's also ask for specifics about the kids interests and health. They also want to know where you plan to go and what time you will be back. We were really impressed with the staff and the way things were run.
I hope your kids like it as much as mine did!:D

Our 2 kids, ages 6 and 4 also went to the NC last summer. You can visit the club during the day I believe between the hours of noon and 4 and play and check it out for free. The parents must stay with their kids at that time. My DH loved playing the video games with my son. Both my kids loved the NC and didn't want to leave when we went to pick them up.

I wouldn't hestitate to leave my children there when they were younger. My daughter now 12, then 5 and my son now 10 1/2, then 4 went to the club and loved it. They still talk about their time there fondly.

We stayed at the Polynesian GV concierge last year for three days. Two nights of that my kids 4 and 8 at the time went to the Neverland Club. Not because we wanted them to but because they absolutely WANTED to go there. They had the BEST time. We had checked it out during the day and they were so psyched to be going there that night. When we went to pick them up they not only didnt want to leave but they begged to go back the next night. It was a wonderful experience for them and it gave dh and I some precious quiet time alone.

The staff is wonderful and caring and will ask you questions about your kids. I wouldnt hesitate to tell them they are shy even if they dont ask those kind of questions. It will alert them to the fact they may need to ask the children periodically if they need something.

The great thing about the Poly is you don't have to leave to have that adult evening when you drop the kids off. We went to the Tambu Lounge for drinks and ordered a couple of different appetizer plates, then went out to watch the MK fireworks at the pool bar (I'm noticing a trend . . .). And finally shopped around the little shops right at the Poly!

Then we strolled over to the Neverland Club and received the cold shoulder from our kids! They wanted to stay!

We left my then-5 yr. old twins at NC in May 2002 when we went to Cirque du Soleil. They absolutely LOVED it and we could hardly get them to leave when we came to pick them up! They aren't the shy type though, and are very good at asking for what they want
