Ok, I am not sure I understand how the Villas (suites) are set up.
I know that the Bungalows are out over the water but where are the Studios located?
Are they in one of the orignal Polynesian Buildings?

Thanks
Ted

Yes, DVC is using the original buildings. They gutted the interiors of each room and redid them completely, adding a kitchenette and expanding the bathrooms into two sections one with tub, sink and toilet and one with sink and walk in shower. They are now the largest studio on WDW property at 447 square feet (OKW is 390). There is a bunk size murphy bed, a queen bed and a queen pullout couch. The bedroom area is very roomy IMO.

BillPA thanks for that link.
DenLo thanks for the description. WOW Bigger than OKW! I have always liked the size of the OKW. Nice. We are thinking of staying there for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon.

A lot of that space is used for the bathroom, though. So do keep that in mind.

We stayed in a standard studio last month. The 2 bathrooms feel like they take up 1/2 of the square footage so for us, the bedroom area did not feel roomier than OKW. It was nice, and I would stay there again, but I was quite surprised that the bedroom area was not bigger given the actual square footage of the villa.

I really like the studios. They were nice big and new. However, I did feel the two bathrooms were not necessary. It would have been nice if the stand up shower was a small kitchen and washer-dryer or storage.

You will like it though!

The washer and dryer in the 1 bed rooms are nice. I use the heck out of those.
The fold out bed on the new studio's looks cool. Are they adult size?

As far as the pull out beds being adult size that depends on who you. Many people have posted that they are and my DS who's 5'8 didn't mind it, I think that is as tall as you can fit though. My DD who is 5'4" said she bumped her head a couple of times.

We are staying at Poly in October...just wish that there was more storage in the studios. Not sure where we will put our clothes for the week for our family of 4! I have already been thinking of creative ways to unpack everything and have committed to keeping the hard to access under the bed drawer for myself!!

We used the empty space in the bathroom between the tub and the toilet as our storage. The tub did not drain. It was kinda gross.

There are two drawers under the bed, one on each side. I didn't think it was that hard to get to either side and I don't bend as well as I used too.

Yea - I'm sure we will figure something out - but compared to the 1 bedroom at BLT we are used to, I think it's still going to be tricky for the 4 of us!!

I feel like it's even worse in a studio because there is no laundry in the room - we will probably bring more than usual...I told my husband already that he is going to have to hang all of his stuff in the closet so he should mentally prepare...

Anyone know how many hangers there are in the closets?

I think there were about 10 when we were there last fall. You can always ask for more but I found the hanging sweater holders more helpful than extra hangers.

I really like the extra shower and vanity st Poly at VGF! Can't wait to return again this May even if only for 2 "resort" days, 1 night on our way to Vero! SO EXCITED to see the new Oasis pool:thumbsup2Hope thst you love the Poly studio and the resort!:cheer2:

This is what I was thinking of bringing - did you bring yours and was there any issue with it fitting with the high chair / pack n okay / safe / vacuum etc that are in the closet?? We are going to have to put our 3-4 suitcases somewhere too!

We did not have any issues. There is room under the bed for suitcases and also in the alcove space that would be a connecting room.

1 bedrooms? Where? Isn't this thread about the Poly?

I was speaking generically about any one bedroom with the washer and dryer. Yes you are correct this was about Polynesian. I was replying to Suebeelin commenting about it might be nice to have a washer-dryer. Confirming my agreement that yes they are nice to have and I find them very useful.
