Hi all,

We are booked into the Poly for five nights in mid April 2008.

We were looking at doing Concierge but the Tour Operator we have booked through doesn't offer this. We can't book direct with Disney as we are tied to this Tour Operator.

What are the chances of me being able to upgrade when I get to WDW? And approximately how much would it be? $100 per night?

Thanks

Karen

An upgrade to Club level could cost $100-$150 more per night. You can always ask to upgrade when you arrive. April can be a busy month, depending when Easter falls next year. If you arrive near the holiday, chances are that it's booked up. If not, you may have a chance. Can you see if your tour operator can get it for you for an extra fee? Maybe he/she just doesn't offer it at his/her discounted rate. Good luck! Either way, you'll love the Poly.

I would choose magic kingdom view over garden view concierge any day. That being said, I would choose lagoon view (same as magic kingdom view) concierge over everything! Have a great time!

We are also considering going the second week of April.

Easter will be March 23 this year, so I expect that by Mid April, the crowds will have tapered off somewhat. Although, the reason we are thinking of going when we are is that is when my mother in law will be able to join us, and she is a teacher, and that is her spring break. My son's spring break from school (just preschool) is also that same week, so I assume it will be spring break for MANY schools across America.

You can always ask upon checkin if there are any upgrades to concierge available. Make sure the person checking you in understands that you ARE willing to pay! Depending on what you paid for your room, the upgrade could be anywhere from $100-200 per night, depending on what's available at the Concierge building (Garden View vs. Lagoon View concierge).
