Emma - I have a question and you were the first person that came to mind as an expert. Are the dolls that they sell at Disney....and I can't think of the name of them, just that I used to see bunches of them in the World of Disney in the "Girls" room - are they the same size as an American Girl doll?

I made a list of questions for my step-sons kids and step-kids, one of which was to see if the girls still like dolls, and if so what kind - Polly Pocket-type, Barbie-type or American Girl-type. I was thinking of the different dolls I had seen at WDW. Well, the youngest one apparently got excited when she saw American Girl, but she crossed of the word "type". She does not have an AG doll - would a Disney one be similar? As the mother (and step-mother) of nothing but boys, dolls are something I have no experience with whatsoever.

Reading along and loving your trippie! We always seem to miss your family by a couple of weeks. We kept your hammock warm at the Poly when we visited and thought of you, . Anyway, do you still BLOG? Oh MY. I have only eaten at Chef Mickey's once and I know it is a favorite, so it makes it so sad that the food was subpar. A restaurant will only go so far on its reputation.

I would choose mickey domes over tiramisu any old day of the week. Those domes looked divine and I am so glad they saved the meal. I guess you guys all offered it up for Dart!

I just stayed at BLT and I did really enjoy my connection with the Contemporary. I know what you mean about style. Even though it wasbuilt when I was in high school, it still scream style.

I have a totally Off Topic question! At one time you had a blog and I (think) I recall a trip to Williamsburg, VA. We are looking into going back over Spring Break. We have been several times but I am looking at different places to eat this time around. Question: Didn't you guys eat at Food for Thought? And if so, what was your "thoughts" of it? It seems to get good reviews and I want to remember you said it was good....

We ate at Chef Mickey's for the first time last year. I was not impressed with it. The food was not very good on the night we were their either and I seemed dirty to me. Maybe it was just a bad night, but it is not on my to do list for next time.

I was there at the same time--and I know what you mean about the camera fogging up! Crazy humid, right? I believe on the 29th (our EPCOT day) it was 100 degrees or more! Crazyness!

But that chocolate crossiant does look rather good...mmm!

The heat/humidity is the major drawback to summers in WDW. We'll be braving it again this June, in 2009 they had a 'record' heat wave

DH loves WL too, we're hoping to stay in the villas someday. We did luck out and stay there back in 1995. It was purely by luck, we'd stopped by to check it out and fell in love, asked if we could switch our ressie and the CM said yes! We ended up in a 'deluxe' room by luck, there was a sitting area seperated from the sleeping area by french doors. It was AMAZING.

Yes...humidity IS the enemy...and I live amongst it I noticed it in the first pic you posted where it was foggy....love the strawberry ring!!! The Chocolate croissant looks amazing!!!!! And what is so crazy--the pic of your brother in the corridor at POP looks just like my older son!!! we all just laughed--it was really odd how much they looked alike!

You got some really great pictures inside the Wilderness Lodge. I love having a Disney day where you just go to different resorts. It's fun because its so relaxing. You can really take the time to look at the details. I am sure you have many more outside pics to post. I took the tour of the WL and it was so interesting. I really learned a lot. I was also able to go up on the roof with the ranger because I was the only one on the tour. It was so cool!

Thanks for the Food for Thought opinion! Sometimes my memory is a curse, but mostly good!!

That chocolate croissant made my tummy growl! It looked so good!! It was hot with massive humidity here during that time so I can only imagine how central Florida was!

I keep plotting to get to WL on my trips and never make it!

a too-hot smaller pool! We were at The Poly at the same time. One night, the Volcano pool was so packed that we decided to go to the Quiet Pool.

Well, it was not so quiet...which was understandable for a resort at full capacity. But the worst was that it was like warm bath water...and it was full of dead bugs! No solace to be found that night, as there is nothing relaxing about trying to escape humidity in a warm, buggy pool.

I found the only remedy was to get to the Volcano Pool early and either sit on the in-water benches near the slide outlet (where the water "appears" to enter the pool from the bubbling spring), or to sit as close as possible to the waterfall.

By comparison, we found the AKL pool (which is larger) to be consistently cooler, when we stayed there in the later part of the trip.

Still, being at Disney in humid weather beats being anywhere else in humid weather.

I love AKL. It's such a gorgeous resort. Boma is on one our favorite restaurants, can't wait to hear what you think of it!

I'm all caught up on your report. Your lunch looks tasty, I have never eaten there before. Walt Disney World suere is full of things to do. You don't even have to go to a park and you can have a full day.

I know where the only 3D hidden Mickey is at WDW. In the villa section at WL atrium on one of the logs near the first floor ceiling/railing. Not sure it describes it, but I have that same picture in my key chain, so cute isn't it?

I took the lodge tour when I stayed there in Feb, did you happen to notice the cute animals under the counter at the check in desk? They put them there so the kids would have something to look at while they are waiting for their parents during checkin. Such an amazing place, I love it.

Roaring Fork looks yummy, I'd have picked the brownie too!

We love AKL , it is our home resort and Kidani is beautiful too. Can't wait to hear how you liked Boma. I personally love it, DH is OK with it but the kids don't really like it so we don't go often.
