Polynesian - stay there if you can!

We just returned home Monday night from a sorta last minute trip. We booked with less than 3 months and decided to stay at the Poly. It was AWESOME!! We have had great experiences with other hotels (All Star Movies and Coronado Springs) but this was definitely the best. We could simply walk to the monorail or hop on the motor launch boat - so easy and only minutes to the parks. The pool area was great - kids loved the volcano slide! Rooms were bigger. AND we watched fireworks over Cinderella's Castle while sitting on the beach at night. If you have the chance, I would certainly recommend this resort. We're already thinking we'll stay there next time ... I cannot wait to return!!!

I agree, we love staying at the Poly too! nothing like watching the fireworks from the beach!

Yeah Poly was such a relaxing resort I almost didnt want to go to the parks. I remember watching the fireworks on a hammock on the beach at night. Man, thinking about it really makes me want to be back there now.

We stayed there last December and I agree with everything you said! For us, with a larger family, the extra few feet in the rooms was really wonderful.

I think my kids will never forget looking out our patio doors to see the monorail go by every few minutes. Someone, either a parent, grandparent or child would pipe up, "Look! There goes the monorail!" It was a sort of (albeit lame) joke. But I also know we all had a warm happy glow being so close to people who were going to the Magic Kingdom!

We will be at Wilderness Lodge for our next trip, because my DH thinks that is the coolest resort around, but my heart belongs at the Polynesian!

We've stayed at the Contemp and Poly many times. Poly is by far our favorite. Can NOT WAIT to go back soon!

Our favorite too. In fact, we refuse to stay anywhere else LOL.

We have a lot of small children - and big strollers. We normally have 2 doubles or 1 triple stroller with us and its too hard to balance those strollers, all of our "stuff" and the kids on a bus (we've never attempted it but its hard enough keeping the kids and our stuff under control on the bus without the strollers. We don't like loading the kids up in carseats and then walking from the parking lot (I doubt our strollers would fit on the tram folded anyways HAHA) so we stay at the Poly and love the monorail.

We love the atmosphere... we normally eat 'Ohana for breakfast twice each trip so it is really convenient.

Going to stay at the poly in March , will have grandchildren ages 7 yr and 7 mon. with us do you have a favorite longhouse. We have gardenview rooms I was thinking about requesting balcony but with the baby maybe we should request ground floor?

I liked the balcony rooms best with my kids - the ground level patios had poop all over them from ducks (although my kids did like watching the bunnies and ducks from the window)
