POFQ CHANGE TO THE POLYNESIAN : :confused3

WOULD IT BE WORTH IT :goodvibes

ANYONE PLEASE !!!!!! MARY

We switched one year from POR to Poly and I hate to say I can't ever see myself staying anywhere else. I warn you of this but let me tell you the Poly just makes me happy...the monorail, MK area, pool, view of the castle, torches lit up at night. I love every aspect of this hotel. We are there again this July and I booked BC first but just couldn't do it...
So your only regret may be that you may never be able to stay anywhere else :teeth:

Hubby had a conference in Orlando last year and work paid a chunk of our lodging. We stayed at the Poly and as I have always LOVED it there, I half expected it to be a letdown. It was NOT. The room was spacious and new, and the whole resort was amazing. It was very hot when we were there -- almost 100 degrees -- which was very weird for the last days of May. It wound up being a blessing, because we just hung out at the resort. We swam, walked on the beach, ate at all the great restaurants and the kids went down the Volcano slide about 1,000 times. We will definitely go back, probably for a few days every trip or so before going to our DVC room. I believe the theming and amenities make this resort worth every penny. GO FOR IT! :sunny:

I say go for it...you will regret it if you don't...you wouldn't be asking the question if you didn't want to...

I always thought the Poly was the only place I could ever go to until I had a problem during my last visit and was treated badly, now I don't think I will ever return

definately go for it if you can. We stayed there for the first time last year and are going back this year. Like one of the pp's said the only drawback is that you may never want to stay anywhere else.

The Poly is truly a wonderful resort and the theme is beautiful. We really did enjoy ourselves and you really feel like your in Hawaii. The beach is beautiful and there is nothing like watching the fireworks from MK from the beach, as well as the electric water parade on the lake. The monorail transportation is also a big plus from the Poly and you do get very spoiled with that.
If this will be your first visit you will really love the Poly so enjoy!!!!!

THANK YOU YOU ALL FOR YOU INFO , BUT THIS YEAR I WILL STAY POFQ , IS NOT WORKING , OUT ,

THANK YOU AGAIN ,

We've wanted to stay at Poly but have hesitated for what might seem like an unimportant thing. We know some rooms don't have balconies here and in making a reservation, they can't make any guarantees. I'm in the room quite a bit with DS-2 who naps and I always enjoy sitting on my balcony wherever we stay for over an hour each day. It's such a peaceful time for me and without that, I'd be stuck napping in the bed also! Has anyone ever experienced not getting a balcony at Poly? Thanks, Sharon

:cool1:

My Sis and I just returned from our annual trip to WDW and this time stayed at the Poly Concierge for 1 week. We absolutely loved it! The staff is awesome, the place is more laid back yet so close to monorail and tc.
We will definitely return.

ANYONE PLEASE !!!!!! MARY

You better believe it's worth it! Staying at the Poly is like two vactions in one. First you get the magic of Disney with all of the perks like Monorail, boat service, great views of MK and the fireworks from the beach. Then comes the second part of feeling like you're in Hawaii when you tour the grounds especially at night with all of the torches lit and the beautifull landscaping. The price is expensive, no doubt about it but I can't imagine staying anyplace else when I'm at Disney. After a hard day at the parks it's a calming feeling when the Monorail pulls into the GCH and you get off to go to your room. I can't wait to go in April and I'm going to stay for 6 days 5 nights and my whole family is excited about it. I keep on adding on days to my stay at the Polynesian, I first was going to stay at serveral resorts to keep the cost down and also see the different resorts. My original plan was 2 at AKL, 3 at the Poly, then 2 at WL. My wife and I decided to stay at AKL for the 2 days so we could really tour AK, then finish off our stay at the Poly. I decided it's worth the extra cost because when my kids are all grown up they can look back at the wonderfull times we shared as a family. I'm sorry if I rambled on and I hope that I was able to help you. Good luck :moped:

The POFQ is also a very nice resort and you will be happy there! If you can work it into your schedule, try eating dinner at O'Hanas and enjoy walking around and shopping and taking in the atmosphere at the Poly knowing that you didn't have to spend the big bucks. The difference in price between the resort will buy you a lot of nice dinners!
