We are cruising on the Land and sea package in April, and we are wondering how the Polynesian Resort is? I know that when it is Disney it should be great, but I wonder if anyone has stayed there? any input would be appreciated.

You'll love the Polynesian!

The 5 of us stayed there. What I liked about this resort was that it was so close to the Transportation centre. Our building was almost the closest to this so travelling around to the parks were so easy as we had a 5 minute walk to everything. This building (I'm sorry I have forgotten it's name) was a 10 minute walk from the main building however we found that we used the access to the TC more than the main building so it was OK. Also we had a lagoon view so my kids could watch the castle change colours, the water parade and the fireworks from our balcony if we were having an early night. As well if got back early from another park we could always just jump on the monorail and be at MK within minutes. Their pools are also great.

The best thing about this resort is the feel like you are on some island and not in the middle of Florida. Walking around the resort you feel like you are in a resort far away.

:D The Poly is nice and dinner at Ohana is great! You may also want to consider the Boardwalk or Beach Club. I love it over there. It is further from Magic Kingdom though.

We have stayed at the Poly over a dozen times!!! It is tied as my favorite resort with the Beach Club Resort....but the Poly has special memories for us as we stayed there on our honeymoon in 1979 and just recently hubby and I unexpectedly rode out Hurricane Jeanne there!!! (were in route to the Radisson by the Port but were diverted because of the hurricane)...seems like Karma as we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and we wound up at the same resort where we had our Honeymoon...pixie dust at work!!!

Ther resort is beautiful, the room very large...the pool great and I just love that tropical feel!!! Make sure you walk around the grounds at night with the tiki torches all lit up!!!

I still have the recipt from our room.....get this....best lagoon view room back in 1979 was.....drum roll.......$65.00 per night!!!!

The Polynesian is absolutely beautiful. We stayed there back in 12/02 and had an incredible time. We were lucky and got Tokelau (which we requested), and had an awesome view of the castle & Grand Floridian. My favorite thing to do was to go out to the beach at night and watch the fireworks (along with a Strawberry Daiquiri in my hand!).

You will not regret your choice of hotel!!!!!!!!!

Its great we are doing the 7 day land and sea and we are staying there as well. We stayed there on our last trip and LOVED IT!!! Can't wait to go!!

Ditto..... :cheer2: on all the great things that were said about the Poly. We did the 3dayland/4day sea last June and are doing the same this June both times at the Poly. Another great thing about the Poly being so close to EVERYTHING it helps since you have limited time on land. The tropical fell of the Poly also is a good way to get "in the mood" for your upcoming cruise.

My family and I were there last August. We all loved it, my son especially loved the volcano pool and slide. We did the "Spirit of Aloha" liked the show and the food was great; my picky eater DS found plenty to eat. I also second Ohana's, I believe it isn't to be missed. And last but not least, transportation can't be beat. Monorail, boat or bus had no problem with any of them.

We have stayed there many times as well. It is such a fun place! My kids love the volcano pool and the mouseboats that you can rent right there. The hotel could not be better located for travel to all points Disney. One of my most favorite memories is sitting on the beach watching the fireworks with my kids. It was cold that night and we all snuggled up together, it was so touching to see the awe in their eyes. Then, we just strolled back to our room, a perfect ending to a magical disney day!
