Oh no, sorry to hear that. The heat is something I'm a bit unsure about but both my boys are at senior school now, the eldest has GCSE's next year so its July or not at all. I know Julie is a teacher and that holidays prove a problem for you in one way and another so here's wishing you a fantastic time next year, you really will be ready for it. Are you trying anywhere different this year?
No need to be "sorry" but we have no plans at all for this year, we are all off for 2 weeks in August so have some shopping trips and 'days out' in mind.
Joshua is a real 'home boy' in many ways so he will be perfectly happy.
To be honest having been 14 times, I am reluctant to keep spending £1000s each year on holiday's - not going for another few months is a nice boost for our saving's accounts.

We are very lucky to have been so often we can wait until April.
We would have gone perhaps Easter this year but Julie and Joshua were off totally different weeks - still at a loss to explain why, it's quite annoying really - so that time of year or summer are the only times we can go.
Joshua in August 2006 just wasn't himself, not wanting to go on many of the attractions, Julie nearly passed out in the heat...so we really consider it a good thing that the school holidays are back in sync next year and we go at a time that suits us better.
There are no negatives really Wendy, some years we visited twice - whilst we are lucky to be able to afford it I simply would rather save the money to be honest.
It's very difficult when there are so many things we cannot do, as I have said many times he doesn't like being out in the evening or dining out, so whilst we crave for variation we have struggled doing different things and keeping the holiday fresh.
I would love to go back to Naples and Fort Lauderdale for example - but I just can't see Josh enjoying it.
Even taking a 10 minute break from the heat at a park and going in a restaurant can cause him to get upset.
He gets up at 5am each morning which up until next year had put us off staying in hotels!
Obviously these things make you think twice about going.
Though the Polynesian could put our enthusiasm back on track, if Joshua settles and enjoys himself there it will be something different for us and perhaps change the way we do our holiday's.
He loves it at a villa, especially the private pool so the bulk of our holiday will always be spent there.
It's getting that balance of the 99% of thinking of him and the 1% where we crave for changing the holidays.
With a beach, great pools, large rooms, good location and hopefully a character breakfast the Poly could be a great place for us.
We need to push him more, we don't eat out much at home so it's hardly surprising he doesn't want to in Florida. Come next April we will be ready though!
