Polynesian Offer 2015 - anyone else booked?

We have already booked yacht club for next August but I contacted this company and if we book room only and buy our 14 day tickets separately we will save over over £2k. Will we really eat over £2000 worth of food between us? I don't think so.....

That's amazing!! That was my reasoning too, so I ditched my other plans :)

Woohoo, we're ditching 7 nights at Old Key West with dining in favour of 8 nights at Grand Floridian without dining. We save 700 which buys a fair amount of food but we never thought we'd stay at GF so worth it anyway!

Thanks so much for posting the thread.

Haha yes we have got a quote for the GF "out of interest". It's a very good deal imo but DH really wants to stay at an Epcot resort. I'm considering carefully whether or not to cancel our free dining booking or not as the point of being at YC was for the dining options at Epcot and the boardwalk and we are less likely to use those and more likely to eat offsite without the DDP

You're most welcome! It's too good a deal to not share with others on here :) Was that £700 or $700 that you saved?

The agent might have deals for EPCOT resorts. so it could be worth asking.

I was offered a room at the Beach Club for less than the price of the Poly room I booked, but we wanted the Poly this time rather than BC as we did YC last time.

<EDIT> Sorry, ignore me, you'd already posted above about getting a YC price so I'm being dopey :) :)

£700!

$3803 for 8 nights GF and 8 days park hopper tickets. This is about £2375 and our 7 night OKW booking (admittedly 1-bed) was 3100.

Obviously I'm being unfair to OKW as comparing a 1-bed to a normal room isn't on but it was 7 nights rather than 8 so that evens it up a little!

Either way, it's the only way we'd ever have stayed at GF.

Just in case anyone is worried about the legitimacy of the offer, my confirmation number has come through and I'm all linked up on MDE now and all details are correct.

Woohoo, very excited.

Just to confirm do you have to stay over labour day?

Bizarrely not at all, we're booked for the 14th - 22nd August. I assume they've block booked a whole 4 weeks worth of rooms to remain a tier one agent or something and selling them on at close to cost. It's probably quite a quiet time for the higher end hotels as the US schools are back by then. Although it said the between the 16th August to 8th September on the web page, I think if part of your stay is in that range you qualify.

Gutted few weeks too late!

nabby I have to express my gratitude to you!! We are booking our onsite stay tomorrow and its as a result of this thread!! We wanted to stay at a MK area resort but costs being as they generally are we had decided that going the DVC route was our only option. I can't wait tohave it all sorted, now to just determine the resort! Decisions decisions! :goodvibes Thanks again!!

U

On one of the FB pages it mentions deals for other dates too, including mine, which are the first two weeks of August. I have sent off an email and will see what comes back.

I have already booked at OKW, but if there is a bargin to be had it might be worth cancelling for the cost of the deposit.

It's frustrating because we normally go around the 15th until the end of August, but this year it's GCSE results.

Yep they are very good and always reply to emails promptly... We are booking this weekend with them had amazing price for 11 nights in a deluxe resort for August, We just have to decide now between Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Disney's Polynesian Village all about the same cost .. ????? !

GCSE results day scuppered is too this year and it's an extra pain as they don't go back to school until the second week of September either! Sounds like you may be at OKW at the same time as us if you don't change your dates. I'm not interested in the deal as we need a one bed villa.

We re looking at roughly the 6th to the 15th (those are the dates we ve currently paid sampl deposit on to stay at beach club)

Never stayed around the mk resorts. Contemporary or poly would appeal at the right price

The quote has come back and it's very good, there are only certain hotels available for July August dates, Yacht Club, Wilderness Lodge, Poly, port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter. And Competporary resort. You cannot add and pay for the dining plan.

The max number of tickets they can book is 8 days, so this may be good for those wanting to do Universal too.

Off to do my sums now. At the moment I think the UK offer is better for us as I then know we can eat where we want and not worry about paying cash. I do like Chef de France and our last bill was $185 for three.

Right then for us, allowing £2000 for Disney food so I can compare apples to apples it's the same cost give or take a few quid using an exchange rate of $1.56. If you are willing to eat offsite, then it's a bargain.

I just finished booking this 'magical' deal at the Polynesian for 12 nights at $3024, which works out to $252 per night. We have 3 adults and 1 child, so our rate is slightly higher that some others have posted as Disney charges extra for the third adult. I asked for quotes for the Beach Club (about $200 less) and the Contemporary (about $30 more, garden wing) as well. I think this is a fantastic deal. I would never normally pay Poly prices, but I am happy with this rate. Additionally, everything including the $200 deposit is fully refundable up to 5 days beforehand.

Hopefully, nearly all the construction will be finished when we go!
