I am on my way out to Orlando but I had a discussion with someone at the Polynesian and the photos of the new rooms are not exactly what the rooms will look like. Much of the room will be different. I will be removing the photos form the web pages so that there are no issues with people arriving in a new room and it not being what the photo shows. I am hoping to get a look at the new room when I am there and I will post whatever information they will allow me to post. I have already been told some things that I can not post at this point.

I hope to have more information next week depending on what they say I can share with everyone.

Aloha

Are any of the new rooms ready? Or, will any be ready by mid-Oct?? If so, do you know which buildings? Inquiring minds want to know! :jumping1:

Steve:

Have a save great trip. I can't wait until you come back to read your report and see pictures. We will be heading to the Polynesian next month in a regular room since Concierge will be closed. I am interested in hearing what longhouses have been renovated.

Thanks for always keeping us up to date,
Lyn

Hey Steve! Have a great trip! Hope you'll come back with some updates on the Hawaii rehab as well (dates, especially! )

Think of all of us out here in the real world while you're down there enjoying the magic!!!!

I just returned from our Poly stay 8/4-811. We had a garden view room in Tahiti that faces Rapa Nui. It was pretty apparent that only the 3rd floor of Rapa Nui had been renovated. Only the third floor balconies had new chairs and table and at night when room lights were on you could see that there were also new light fixtures. I couldn't tell beyond that. They were installing high speed internet access in our building as well with the hopes of having it available on the 15th. Since it wasn't ready while we were there my husband was pretty miffed about having to sign on at the WI-FI areas at the Grand Floridian. He was actually there one night until 1am! Workaholic! :) Marilyn

thank you for the update! I look foward to hearing about your trip. I am trying to decide on where to stay but I would like to wait until the rooms are done before I book.

Thanks for keeping us posted!!! I cannot wait to hear about your trip and the updates.
Have a SAFE trip!!! :flower:

Steve,
Have a great trip! And give Mickey a hug from me! :) Can't wait to hear your up-dates on the Polynesian.

Thank you Tikiman
I just was on your website and it looks as though the new rooms are going to be beautiful.
I saw the info you had on the dates of the expected rehabs for the long houses and I am so hoping that Tahiti will be done by our trip in December.
I really appreciate your hard work and all you do to keep us updated.

Steve,

Thanks for posting the link to your site. I didn't want to check it until you gave the ok b/c I wanted to preserve your bandwith.

I love the new room design and can't wait to stay at the Polynesian again. It looks like I may have to wait until 2008 because I want to stay concierge, so I'm going to start saving now!

Anyway, thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to the Polynesian! It is much appreciated by many.

Mahalo!

Anne

No problem Scanne. You can check it out.

Aloha

Steve
