Polynesian Luau closed Jan/Feb

I just received a call from the Polynesian this morning and they informed me that the Luau would be closed from the beginning of January through Feb. 23. No reason given, but they offered to make reservations for me at the Hoop Dee Doo instead. I declined.
So anyway, if anyone out there has reservations for the Luau during those times, you'll probably be getting a call as well.

I think I heard recently that they would be doing some rehab on the Luau area. This may be the reason the luau is closed then.
