Polynesian Here We Come...

Hey hey! I had a wonderful bridal shower this week (thanks Jamie!) so now I'm going to share some groovy stuff.

This is a photo from my first trip to WDW. We stayed off property, didn't do the dining plan, and only went the MK, Epcot, and HS. My travel partner didn't like to see "animals in cages."

My second trip was definitely better! That's when we got the upgrade from ASMu to AKL!!

Me and one other girl also went to Disney Princess tryouts during this trip!! I was too tall, but we did see one girl who got picked and was put immediately in hair and makeup for Aurura!!!!

For this trip, the Poly is what I'm excited about. I bought a dress to wear to the Spirit of Aloha show last week. Free dining - here I come!:cool1:

Also, for any of you interested - Jamie and I each did the DVC tour and got the gift card. That went towards this trip - totally worth the 20 min. phone call!

DVC tour? Please share details. I might be interested.

How are you trying to upload? I had to load my pictures to photobucket and then here. If you'll e-mail them to me, I'll upload them. I still want to see all the pictures from your last trip.

If we do run into each other it will most likely be on Wednesday or Friday. I will be looking for you! Let me know how Ohana is, I think we might try to fit that into our next trip. Depending on what movies are playing on the beach, we may try to fit that in this time- Tuesday night might work for us. My biggest regret for this trip is that we won't be able to see Fantasmic... something else to look forward to for next time ;) Are you going to do a trip report?

Hmmm...:scratchin a trip report....maybe??:confused3 I am still shy about posting pics, I have posted a few! I will have to get a bit braver to do a trip report! :rotfl: How about you??

Wednesday seems like it will be our best bet to see you all. I totally overplanned us on arrival day last trip, and we stayed in the park for fireworks. It was amazing, but getting out was a nightmare. All the DD's were crying and upset. So lesson learned, this time we will have our dinner, and just chill I think. ::yes::

We have every intention of doing a trip report. I just know my husband is going to look at us like we're nuts when we start photographing our food :rotfl2: We tried not to cram too much into our first day, and I'll do my best to remember that it's not the end of the world if we don't do everything we want to on our first trip ;)

If you have a Chase Disney Credit Card, you'll get the info/brochure/email about taking part in a Disney Vacation Club tour (it's like a ten minute phone call). If you complete the tour (no pressure), they will mail you a gift card that can be used at Disney. I think Jamie and I both got $100.00 because that was the offer they were running.

There is a 1-800 # that has floated around the boards that you can do the tour on, but you must be a cardholder of a Disney Chase card. (I signed up for the card just so I could do the tour!)

Hope this helps!

Also, I'm trying to post photos by clicking the little icon that says "Insert Image" then it asks me for the http:// link, so I linked it to my facebook photo.

I may try the photobucket way next.

Come on September 8th.... I NEED A VACATION!!

Just look for us on the beach on the 12th....mom and dad looking tired yet sooo sooo happy:love:, trailed close behind by three DD's, probably looking exhausted and still in shock!! :goodvibes

The DVC phone tour was only $40 each. You got $100 from Chase when you opened your Disney Visa account. It was $200 when I opened mine. We got a total of $380 in FREE Disney gift cards :)

I don't think you can load pictures straight from fb. I tried and couldn't do it, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

We'll definitely be watching the torch lighting ceremony that night. I hope we'll see you on the beach!

I live in a small town, Ecru. It is between Oxford and Tupelo. Thanks for the congrats. It is a shame that we let ourselves get to that point of needing to lose so much but we did. Now we feel sooooo much better. Life is a lot more fun! We will be staying at CBR. Are you going to do a trip report after your trip? If you do send me a pm in case I miss it.

I've been through Ecru on my way to Algoma (Ponotoc area!). The preacher who is marrying us lives up there. Beautiful, small town feel.

I discovered last year that you can see the crowd calendar and historical wait times at touringplans.com for your dates for free around the 45 day mark. Our plans look really solid according to that site as well.

Ooooh, I am going to check this out too! thanks!:goodvibes

Ok, just checked!! Most of our park days are good, with a couple not so good to visit. That's ok, crowd levels are at 1's and 2's so it should be no worries anyway. We are not going commando this time anyway. Thanks for the info!

We want to see and do as much as we can and we're not at all crazy about crowds. The only day that doesn't look good for us is Friday- our HS day. This is Marie's least favorite park, but there are several things I'd really like to do there. If we skip Toy Story Mania, I think we'll be okay.

That is so cool. Yes it is a nice small town. I really like living here. Hmmm I wonder who the preacher is that is performing your ceremony? You've got my curiosity piqued. Why don't you pm me his name if you don't feel comfortable posting it here. Such a small world. And Algoma is even smaller than Ecru.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I wish you the best.

Thank you so much! His name is Brother Mark Newell at Algoma Baptist! He and my fiance are big hunting buddies are we go to church up there when we visit.

Congrats on your upcoming Disney trip! I vote we all buy Polynesian-themed souvenirs since they are changing the Poly after our trips!

I just got the email extending free dining until December 20th! Man, I need another Disney vacation at Christmas time (and a bonus to pay for it!).

September 8th, please hurry!

Madilyn, Marie and I have all celebrated birthdays within the last week :goodvibes My Granny gave me a $25 Walmart gift card which I used today to stock up on supplies for our trip (razor blades, shampoo and conditioner, mousse, etc.) I've even started packing. My daughter's clothes are all in her Disney Princess suitcase with the exception of the Belle dress she'll be wearing to breakfast at Akershus. I've started a "first night" bag for our Saturday night stay in Lake City. One I pack the things I picked up at Walmart today, all I'll lack is clothes and whatever Marie needs to add. I still need to pick out and pack my husband's and my clothes. I also need to start stocking up on snacks for the trip. We leave in thirty one days :thumbsup2

Wow! You sound super organized! I am still in La la land....it is only starting to sink in that we will be there soon!

:dance3::dance3: Yay for Mickey Mail!! So far, we have only received our ME mail and are still waiting on the rest!!:rolleyes1
