Polynesian- Hawaii building question.

We are planning a stay at Polynesian in the Hawaii building for the first time. Our first time in a magic kingdom area resort aside from wilderness lodge.

I'm wondering if the noise from the fireworks every night will wake my kids up? One is a light sleeper. Would the noise be softened a lot if we chose a room that does not face the lagoon?

We stay at WL villas before and while my husband and I distantly heard the fireworks they did not wake anyone.

Any noise input? Should we choose a different resort? We are typically early to bed and early to rise.

Well, we've stayed at the Grand Floridian twice on the side facing Magic Kingdom. The fireworks were shaking our room, and it's never woken up my daughter, who was 3.5 and 4.5. She was 2 when we stayed at the Polynesian in Raratonga, and never woke up.

They are THAT tired after a day at WDW.

We stayed at the Poly overlooking cinderellas castle. It was not loud enough to wake us. We could hardly hear them. BUT it was nice to go out on the balcony and watch from our room...

The noise isn't loud when inside the room on the lagoon side. It's less on the garden view side but I'd suggest lagoon or Theme Park View. It's nice to see the activity on the lagoon during the day and the Electric Water Pageant at night from the comfort of your balcony or room.
