I am a little puzzled about your rate change, however. If it was a room only reservation (i.e. no tickets or dining plan added) and you booked direct with Disney CRO in the USA, then the rate cannot change - it is fixed at the time of booking. Only packages can vary in price. You can check out the Ts&Cs on the website, but you might like to check up on this because it may have been a simple error on their system.
