Are there any quiet spots around the pools or grounds that anyone knows of?

Thanks;)

There is actually a second pool that is a "quiet" pool. No slide, so it tends to have more adults around it and no screaming kids.

As the above poster mentioned, there is a nice quiet pool without screaming children. The beach behind the Tahiti building was always quiet when we went. There are hammocks by some of the trees. :)

The beach area between Fiji and Luau Cove is always a nice little break from the action. :)

The beach right next to the Tuvalu longhouse is nice and quiet with hammocks. Folks seem to forget about this beach as I've never seen it crowded. :thumbsup2

Our last trip, we were in Rarotonga room 1806 (toward the middle, but closer to the GCH), facing the quiet pool. Our patio had little plant cover, but that did not impede our privacy (not crowded at any time) and we could still walk out to the quiet pool The room next door, 1807, had more foliage and did not have the same access to the pool. The Quiet Pool was never loud or crowded.

Our room was convenient, but still very quiet. We chose this longhouse primarily because we had guests with mobility issues and we wanted a longhouse that was centrally located to the bus stop, the temporary Captain Cook's at Tangaroa Terrace (no longer an issue) and not a far walk to the GCH. However, it was also a plus because it did not face the Volcano Pool (which has guests in it all night) and was not on the West side of the GCH (which we thought might have more foot traffic due to the Luau).

No matter your choice, you're still going to Disney and staying at the Poly. Enjoy all of it!

I agree with MsStinkerbelle:
The beach area by Tuvalu with the hammocks was the quitest spot that DH and I found during our honeymoon at the Poly. And if you time it right, you could watch Wishes and the Electric Water Parade from this area with the music piped in and all, it was really nice and it isn't too hectic.:goodvibes

just sit on the beach and relx we do it every trip,,never really loud there,,its not confined so its not bad,,we go there from our resort just for a change and watch the fire works from the beach at night,,its great,,
