I have read so many posts with people talking about how great the Poly is if you have little kids. I'm going in July with 4 teenagers and I'm starting to get a little worried. I picked the Poly because the rooms are bigger than the other Delux's and I liked the bathroom setup. (I figured the bathrooms would be large enough for the kids to change clothes comfortably and privately).

Have people gone with teenagers and do the teengers enjoy themselves?

My parents took us to the Poly every summer when I lived at home. It is great for teenagers! We loved hanging out at the pool and my brother loved the arcade. The snack bar at the pool is great also! Plus the monorail is so convienent - especially Mom and Dad finally let us start going to the parks by our selves ( I was 15 and my brother was 13). I think it seemed safer (and more contained) to them than the buses. We loved the Poly as teenagers! I hope I get to go back soon.

Our children enjoyed the Polynesian throughout their teens as much as they did when they were younger. Our youngest is now 18 and it remains everyone's favorite.

Thankyou both for responding. I was beginning to second guess myself for the 3d or 4th time. LOL...

I can let you know by the middle of June, lol. We are staying at the Poly the last 5 days of our trip. I have 2 teens, 16 and 14, and 2 toddlers, 2 and 4. We caught the monorail to the Poly once and my 2 oldest remarked how cool it looked. I'm pretty sure they will like the room and really like the pool.

Last time we stayed there my kids were 14, 13 & 8...they all loved it... it still remains their favorite...even over the Beach Club (they did like Storm-a-long Bay better than the Poly pool though)..but as far as the resort...Poly ranked 1st

When we stayed this past Christmas week, my then-15y/o dd had a blast. She met a teen boy at the pool the first day we were there  He was staying there with his parents as well. I let her hang out at the pool with him and sit on the beach in the evenings to watch the electric water pageant and the fireworks (with me knowing *exactly* where they were at all times!)

I guess my point is, if they have a similar-aged sibling or friend along, or if they can meet a new friend there, the Poly has lots of cool places to "hang".

We have stayed at the Poly dozens of times. Our 2 DDs are now 16 & 17 and they love the Poly...and have since birth!::yes::

They STILL enjoy the Monorail access, they can jump on it to MK or they can walk over to the T&TC and take a Monorail to Epcot, and one of them usually sleeps on the daybed...that way they both have their own bed.

Snack bar, atmosphere, view, pools, GCH, stores, etc...etc...etc..

Your teens will love the experience! ::yes::
