Poly tower new association? Look like it

We will be down in August and will be passing it on the monorail as we go to the other resorts for dinner or breakfast. I wonder how much progress there will be by then?

August 17-24th. Which is still a year from opening.

I will be down there for a quick two nights in June but we may not get over to the MK area....but if we do, I'll snap some pictures!

There is nothing to prevent Disney from moving a housekeeper from one to another for a temporary shift change because those housekeepers are assigned to the location and not to BRV or CCV or WL.

So, while the housekeepers are assigned to specific resorts, if there is an issue, they can certainly be asked to go elsewhere that day, especially if it’s the same shared location.

While each association has their own contract with Disney to property management, it’s not that linear because all those employees are Disney employees and can be scheduled based on providing support.
I do not believe this is correct. Like you stated each has their own association and is paid out of a different pocket. Cannot just tell someone to shift, does not work that way. This is just one example. Think of the issues of supplies, shortage in one resort but next door you have plenty, cannot just move the supplies because you have accounting issues. This is way more complicated than we will just borrower supplies/manpower and adjust later. THAT is what I gleamed from discussing these issues with the Cast Members at BRV and CCV. Like I said, it is a nightmare and I personally do not believe DVC will what to duplicate. Just my opinion.

I imagine the employees fill out a timecard at the end of their shift indicating where they worked. Payroll and cost allocation certainly allocated to the resort, but the employees work for the larger organization. DVC doesn't cut their paycheck; we contract with another company to provide that service. I have to believe they can flex staff to different areas.

While while each association pays Disney to be our property manager, once the association is billed for that management, Disney makes all the decisions to provide staffing and services to the resorts. We, as the association, have no control over who they put where...

So, yes, they can't apply more charges to an association than what was billed...well, they can, but DVD has to cover any shortfall so it doesn't really matter... but Disney, as the company can choose to do reorganize the staffing, supplies, etc. on an as need basis if the situation arises.

I get that they have to do some back end accounting....but from my information, that is not a big deal.

Now, that is not to say that some of the CM's who work at shared resorts may feel its a hassle, but when we were at CCV in February, I showed my friends the BRV building and we needed some extra towels and some coffee...saw a housekeeper there, asked if we could have some and she gave them to us....didn't even ask if we were staying BRV, CCV, or WL...so, I just don't think it is micromanaged to the level that having two DVC's at one property is an issue.
