Not sure where to post this question, hope this is in the right place. We are staying at the Poly in a week, but we want to take one morning to go over to see the Cars Part of the Art of Animation resort because all of a sudden I have a two and half year old who is obsessed, lol.

I have a few questions though. How do I get from the Poly to AofA and then from AofA to the contemporary (for an ADR)?

How much time should we allow for the entire trip if we need to be at Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary by 11:15? I am not sure how big the resort area is or how long we will need for our little guy to look around, take some pics etc.

My best guess would be monorail to ticket and transportation center then bus to AoA. Or monorail to MK then bus to AoA. As far as timing someone else may have better idea on that then me, but I would allow at least an hour to get there. Coming back isn't too bad just take bus to MK then walkway over to contemporary.

Disney transportation does not go from resort to resort. Unless you call a taxi or rent a car, you'd have to take a boat or monorail from the Poly to the Transportation and Ticket Center, then get a bus to AOA. From AOA get a bus back to the TTC and walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary. I'm sure others will chime in if there's an easier way.

Doesn't the Poly have the monorail right there at the TTC? Or the one that goes right to it?

Yes the monorail at the poly goes around to the TTC. You may even be able to walk to the TTC and take bus from there to AoA. I know monorail from poly has to go all the way around the loop to get to the TTC.

Edit. - walking to TTC then bus to AoA is for sure going to be the fastest. Unless you take a cab from poly to AoA.

I'd schedule an hour and half to roam AOA. Then you'd be in no rush. Check out the gift shop, go early and maybe grab a light breakfast at the food court (it's great).

Take monorail to MK, bus to AOA. That early, the buses to the resort shouldn't be too crowded. Then take the bus back to MK and the monorail from there to Contemporary. I'd leave the Poly at 7:30 or so.

My plan would be
7:30-8:15 monorail to MK, bus to AOA
8:15-9:45 tour AOA
9:45-10:45 :back to MK via bus then monorail to Contemporary...or walk via walkway from MK.. (This shouldn't take an hour, but better to be safe)
