POLY Suite or Beach Club/Boardwalk Villa?

We booked a 1 bedroom suite at the POLY for 8/9-8/15. We are considering upgrading to a 2 bedroom. I looked into the Beach Club and Boardwalk 2 bedroom villas. They seem pretty spacious and are less expensive than the 1 bedroom suite at the POLY. Now, I'm trying to decide if we should keep the 1 bedroom suite at the POLY or switch to a Beach Club or Boardwalk villa. Since the villas are part of the DVC, does mousekeeping service them daily? We're not DVC members, so we're not sure if the lack of daily mousekeeping only happens when people are staying on points. Also, is there 24 hr room service at the villas? We're doing deluxe dining, so we won't make use of the kitchen (I don't make use of my kitchen at home!) other than to store beverages and snacks. Anyone ever stay at a suite at the POLY? Or the BC or BW villas? Any suggestions?

If you rent the room through Disney reservations, then the room is serviced daily. However, if you rent the room from a DVC member on points, then mousekeeping is every 4th day for garbage and a few days longer for full cleaning. You can get a full cleaning daily for about 60 dollars.

We own at BWV and I can tell you the room service is not fabulous. This goes for BCV too. If you really want an experience that is indulgent, stay at the Poly.
The WDW website is showing no availability for any suites at the POLY for your dates, so don't cancel yours until you book something else.

Two things I LOVE about the villas that I didn't know I would when we bought into DVC

1. The washer and dryer - It is so nice to through a load of clothes in when we get home at night and then into the dryer before bed. We get to pack way less and don't have to take dirty clothes home

2. The soaking tub with the jets. I LOVE having a nice big tub at WDW. I have one at home and always missed it in regular disney hotels

yes bwv has room service - don't know if it 24 hours or not. don't think that Polyn room service is 24 hours either...

yea looked at the menu both basically stop at midnight.

another reason to get BWV - then you could order something before you leave - then warm it up when you are ready to eat it.

or go to the general/grocery store and just pick up somethings for your after hours snacking.

the full refrigerator is nice.

The 1 bedroom suite at the Polynesian only has a microwave, so as someone mentioned if you wanted to prepare meals the villa would be better.

Of course, the one bedroom suite DOES have a great view of the fireworks and castle :thumbsup2

Here's a picture from the first floor, below the 1 bedroom suite....
