Poly standard view vs. studio room

I've stayed at the Poly twice before, both times in a standard view room in Samoa. This summer we are considering adding two nights to our stay and moving over to the Poly. I can get a cash reservation in a studio room for a little more than a standard room. I'm having trouble deciding which room to choose. Can anyone who has stayed in both give me the pros/cons to either?

TIA!

ETA - There would be four of us (DH, myself, and twin sons, age 10).

A Standard Room and a Studio have very different sleeping setups.

A Standard Room is 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. A Studio is one queen bed, a sofa sleeper and a murphy bed that folds down out of a cabinet.

A Studio has a bathroom + shower setup.

Studios all have balconies, even the second floor. The view will be a little different than in Samoa, simply because you'll be in a longhouse on the other side of the resort, closer to the TTC.

It looks like you have two adults and two 9-year olds? If so, I would definitely save your money and do the standard room as you will get two queen beds and a day bed. In the studio you get one queen bed, a pull-out sofa and a pull-down Murphy bed. You will also be a little further away from GCH (but closer to TTC). The studio isn't worth the extra $$, IMHO.

The studio will have 2 showers. That's a big plus for us. Four people and one shower is tough, especially when you have girls (like we do).

It's 6 of one and half dozen of the other!
IMO nothing beats Samoa! Great location and we faced volcano pool. Loved it. Rooms have 2 queens & day bed.

If you're thinking of studio, I'd pick Tokelau, beach end of building. We stayed there pre DVC. Still a good location, we always walked out the beach end to get to main pool and boat dock. We also got a sideways view of the castle.
But in studio you give up a bit of living space because of addition of second bathroom..and you have to deal with pull downs and lack of a dresser.

Sleeper sofas are never as comfortable as real beds.

OP here. These are all good points. I think I'll go with the standard room for the two queen beds plus we'll be saving some money. Thanks!
