Poly reno - what houses, when?

I'm half thinking of moving our ressie from the Contemp to the Poly if we might be able to get a renovated room Oct 6-8. I haven't been paying attention to the Poly since I didn't think we'd be staying there. Any info or reno schedule for the Poly anywhere?
I thought there was a thread about this but I cant find it now...

We stayed in Samoa from Aug 20-24. When I took a walk around the resort I saw them working on Figi. The half side facing the Floridian was all pulled apart. It was neat, you could see through the rooms etc. But if you didn't know that they were doing this, you would have no clue what was going on. They were also starting to work outside of Cap Cook's.

Sorry I am trying to do a few updates before I leave for Maui and the site might be up a little sooner than the 4th but here is the dates from a week ago.
A tentative list looks like this:
Aotearoa 12/4 – 12/23 all floors
Fiji 8/15- 9/04 all floors
Tuvalu 8/29-9/16 all floors
Hawaii 9/17-10/11 all floors
Samoa TBD
Niue 8/26-9/7 all floors
Rarotonga TBD
Tokelau TBD
Tahiti first floor 10/21-11/02, second floor 10/09-10/21 and third floor 9/27-10/09

I am sure these dates will change with the weather so expect delays.

Any work seen near Captain Cooks is not the expansion of CC since that is being put off until next year. It might be them moving the games from Moana Mickey's over to that area.

Have you been to the Grand Californian yet? What did you think? I am a fan!

I liked the GC. They did a great job on the resort but I would have been happier to pay half the price and stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Now that the DH is connected to the parks and you can walk over I feel there was more to offer over at the DH and the price was just about half. I figured with the GC there would be more perks and I thought the entrance to the park was exclusive to the GC guests but anyone who wants to walk through the GC can go in that entrance. I am glad I tried it and I might stay there again but I would not mind staying at the DH next time. The CMs at the GC were great and the food was ok but not as good as the price would suggest but we did not go to Napa Rose with the baby and I hear nothing but great things about it.

Just wanted to confirm that Captain Cooks is and will remain open. We are going to be there in less that 2 weeks and I just wanted to be sure that it will be open then. Thanks!

They have canceled plans to work on CC for this year and hope to start the beginning of next year.
