ok I am getting ready to reserve our next Poly stay. This time we stayed Garden view in Tokelau, we did have a lagoon view to our left. it was a very nice room, lovely gardens, but next stay I am thinking of stepping it up.
so looking at the page it says "theme park view" "lagoon view".........theme park being more expensive, anyone stay in a MK view room? what longhouses are these rooms in? i looked at tiki mans site but couldn't figure it out for sure.
I am also considering lagoon view concierge, but just not sure if i want to go that High! hubby says whatever I want to do is fine with him ( silly man! LOL).........anyway what type of room should i pick, MK view or LVC?

oh and I should say the only thing making me question LVC is we might end up with one of those second floor rooms with the fake balcony. It was nice having the balcony, i would hate the fake one!

The buildings with Theme Park and Lagoon view (they have both in the same buildings) are: Aotearoa, Tuvalu, and Tahiti. There are 2 rooms in Tokelau considered Lagoon View as well (2914 and 3914). The only difference between the 2 is that the MK view rooms will have a direct line of sight to the castle, where lagoon view may (not always) have the castle blocked by foliage.

We just got back from the Poly last week and stayed in a MK view room. We got Tuvalu, room 2408. The view was perfect. Not a tree or anything blocking the view. And it wasn't a long walk at all to the GCH, maybe three minutes.

When we stayed in Tuvalu longhouse last Christmas, we had a lagoon view room that was next to a room classified as a MK view. The difference between our two rooms? Our room had the bottom 1/3 of the castle obstructed by an island (not a big deal--we were floored we could see the castle and had an awesome view of the water parade and fireworks).

Tuvalu and Tahiti longhouses have the best views of the MK unless you upgrade to Concierge. :thumbsup2

Tahiti is the BEST for MK view. I'm not sure concierge is really worth the money (the desserts at night are awesome though!), I think the view from Tahiti was just as good! The rooms in Tahiti are also larger. What ever you decide, you can't go wrong!

I agree that Tahiti has great views.

Concierge is debatable. If you are spending a lot of time at the resort, and planning to make a lot of ADRs, the concierge lounge and preplanning would be great. If you are going to mostly be in the parks, it's a toss-up.

If a balcony is very important to you, Tahiti is the only MK/lagoonview building with balconies on the second floor.

This was our view from Tahiti:

we have a lagoon view club level booked for april, what section should we ask for? Or are they the same in LGV??

You will be in the Hawaii longhouse, check out my view above. It will be the same. AWESOME!

When you stay in the Hawaii longhouse, do you request a certain floor? What is your opinion on the different floors? I'm considering the third floor.

Thank you all for the info and the pics.
great info Conc as always:)
our biggest thing is a short walk to the pool! we don't care so much about being close to the gch. the kids make a bee line to the pool no matter where we stay, so a fairly short walk to the pool would be great!

You can request a certain floor. It is only a request. I prefer the 3rd. Some prefer the 1st, you have a patio and your own "yard" so to speak. The second floor has no balcony which those with young children prefer.
