Poly points on sale next week!

Disney has just filed the Declarations with the Orange County Controller but the pdf image of those is not available yet.

Yep, it does look amazing, like about one point per square foot per night.

That's just about exactly what I was going to say. Somebody better like'em 'cause they're dang sure gonna have to pay for'em. ;)

I saw somewhere that $160 is the starting price point (that may be the "discounted" current DVC owners price).

I will probably be alone in thinking this but I will be shocked if anybody in the direct-buy marketplace gets points at DPV for that price ever, member already or not.

Can we expect points charts to be released when we are told price? I know I would never buy points unless I knew how many I needed. I'm not interested in purchasing Poly, but I am curious as to the point structure given the huge increase at VGF compared to the other resorts.

Just talked to my guide - no point charts or price per point til Monday.

This makes no sense. Monday is the day they go on sale. You mean to tell us that you're not going to let your customers know the price and how much they'll need to buy before they are suppose to buy them?

I completely agree - I was very surprised when I was told that. You would think they would want to give people time to plan the purchase. What difference does it make to them if they release that info now or a few days later?

No one HAS to buy on that first day. People can actually wait and spend a few days to peruse the point chart before they decide whether to buy.

So far, the only document I've seen on OCC is the Memorandum of Ground Lease for PVB. This is the document that conveys the land from Disney Parks and Resorts to DVD. The ground lease for PVB expires January 1, 2066.

I have not yet seen the Declaration for the PVB Condominium Association. If you found it, please let me know.

ETA: There is also the Master Cotenancy Agreement that was recorded with OCC today.

Prepare yourself for some shockers. The Declarations are now online with the Orange County Comptroller (go to that site and search for document #20150007003 in its document search section). They look a lot like others but my immediate focus went to the minimal guarantee point night. These do not give actual point charts but provide a statement of what will at least be avaialble for at least one night even if points were spread evenly throughout the year. Previously the VGF declarations had the highest number minimum guarantee per room size of all WDW resorts, which then resulted in the highest point charts. For VGF that stated one night guarantee in a studio was 22 points and for that minimum did not distinguish between standard and lake view. Poly will have standard and lake view studios and the stated minimum for standard is the same 22 points but for lake view it is 26. The Poly 2BR bungalow one night guarantee is 147 points, the same as it was for the VGF Grand Villas. In other words, I expect the nightly points when the charts come out to show that the studios are equal to and in some cases possibley higher than VGF and those 2BR bungalows are likely going to match the VGF GV's.

Thanks, drusba. I missed the declaration because I didn't search for Walt Disney Parks.

Interesting. Just checked that out. Certainly seems like the Poly is going to be more points per night the VGF.

But what I do not understand is that a Lake View Studio at VGF during premier season can be 43 points. I do not understand the "minimum" term. Seems like an average to me.

I suspected that the direct view of Magic Kingdom and evening fireworks would command a higher point value than the indirect view offered by some of the VGF lake view villas.

However, I thought the standard views would be slightly lower.

Some of those bungalows are right next to the TTC. sub-standard view?!

I'm so curious who is going to buy there!!

Any educated guesses on what UY will be the first to get 2015 points? If it is not opening until April, will it have to be April or later?
