Love your photos...wondered is the side of the building that faces the quiet pool, or the opposite side of the building....just wondering. What room number did you have, and were you happy with the view, and accomodations?

Great photos on this thread. Now I'm wishing for August to come a little faster! The Poly is such a beautiful resort.

We just got back from the Poly. I really did not understand why everyone liked this hotel, but I understand now. WE LOVED IT. I could just stay there without going to the parks. So relaxing, comfortable and beautiful. We just loved it. We will be staying there again in the future.

Thanks so much for the photo of Stitch. My DD 6 princess: is completely hooked on the Disney Playhouse Channel...especially Lilo & Stitch. She looking forward to the brunch almost as much as Cinderella's Lunch, and keeps asking what Stitch will look like.

Found this one today while sorting photos for a scrapbook:

I'll jump in here -- it looks to me like the first pic is looking towards the beach at Tahiti. The second pic is looking towards the TTC at Rapa Nui. For garden view, you really can't go wrong in Tokalou.

The last time I was at WDW, we took the monorail back to the TTC (we were staying off-site). My boyfriend-now husband could not take his eyes off the Polynesian as we rode past. He said, "Next time, I'm gonna stay here".

Now we have 2 children and are thinking about planning their very first trip to WDW.

Here's a question for all the experienced Polys...what longhouse do you suggest I try to book in?

LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics!!!

Check out the official Poly FAQ thread ... there are lots more photos and individual longhouse reviews. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1708173

There was also a thread a couple of days ago re: longhouse suggestions ... if you go back a couple of pages you should find it (I looked quickly but didn't see it right away ....). :thumbsup2

Photobucket has this new editing feature. Look at this "painting" I did from a photo I took of one of the Poly's most beautiful gardens!!!

What a beautiful painting!!!!

These are photos I took at the Poly in 2006. We weren't overnight guest at the Poly (we were at the Contemporary) but had dinner at Kona Cafe one evening. Spending some time walking around the on the beach convinced me that we needed to stay here on our next trip!
