We will be visiting Poly Luau in late January. Is there a particular day or time of day that we should consider booking?

Thanks

I can't answer your question, but I am interested in the answer.

We are also going in January I booked the Luau for January 24 (Saturday night) at the late show (8pm I think).

Is this a good choice?

The Spirit of Aloha Luau at the Polynesian is offered Tuesday through Saturday at 5:15 and 8:00pm.

I don't really think that one day is better than another, it just depends how it fits into your plans. In January when the parks close early, you'll probably want to plan on the later show.

Have fun!

Hi folks,

If you've got young children, the 5:15 p.m. dinner is probably your best option. The Luau can last more than two hours, so that 8 p.m. dinner can easily stretch to 10:15 p.m.

The trade-off you'll make for the earlier time is that the show looks better at night. In the winter months, this isn't much of a factor, as it gets dark earlier anyway. During summer, though, it's a factor.

Hope this helps!

We did the later show last August. Our 9 y/o dd was really dragging at the end. I thought she was going to fall asleep in her chair!! She enjoyed it but I think we should have booked the earlier show after a day in the parks. We also got great seats. We booked in June for our August trip. We picked up our tickets about 2 days before the show and checked in at the podium at the show about 45 minutes before the start. I think the early check-in at the podium helped get us the terrific table. We were seated in the second row of tables, 2 tables past center-stage. So we had only 2 people between us and the stage area.

As far as I know, the Luau pretty much sells out every day. There might be a few seats at a table next to the kitchen door, but we're not talking massive options! :p

All I can offer by way of advice is to book as early as possible, but be sure what you want. We booked for 4 then changed it to 3 & LOST the 1st reservation, unbeknownst to us until we got to the seating area. Even though we booked the 1st time MONTHS in advance, we made the change a couple of weeks in advance & they gave our 1st reservation away & we got stuck w/ a table far away from the stage. We were NOT pleased. If we'd known that would happen, we would have kept the ressie for 4 & shown up w/ 3. I don't like to do that, but being honest counted against us.

Have fun!!

See you at WDW!
