Poly DVC - what UYs loaded with 2014 points?

I went with a different uy on my poly contract. I had purchased my blt points without really thinking about the uy and have april...poly has june. I don't see a problem as i plan on using poly points for poly only and don't plan on mixing both points on a single trip. They are both on the same log in acccount.

So you were able to get a June use year? Wondering why they are telling me I can't.

Which is, if I remember correctly (because it was the ONE thing I mis-heard at our presentation but thankfully DH heard it correctly), the same situation with Bay Lake. Couldn't use the points before it opened.

The restriction is that you cannot use the points prior to the occupancy date of the Unit you purchased, which may or may not coincide with the date that the resort first opens. In this round of Poly sales, I believe all of the Units currently being sold will open for occupancy on the same date that the resort opens. This was not the case with AKV. Part of Jambo House opened in July (?) but only some buyers owned Units with that July occupancy date. Others (like me) had a September 1st occupancy date. There were some unhappy owners when they discovered they could not use their AKV points to book a stay at Jambo House during the first few weeks it was open, nor at any other resort either.

It might have to do with how many points you want to purchase. In the past, they would only allow a buyer to purchase a different UY if they were purchasing at least 160 points. ETA: Nevermind, I see you posted that they will sell you a new UY, but not the one you prefer.

I would call back. We are new buyers, but were initially told we had to have an October UY. I was not happy with that as we travel in september and december. I told them we wanted an Aug UY or we would walk from the deal. Magically, we now have an Aug UY.
