FINALLY, I saved enough money so we will be able to reach my dream of staying at the POLY this August! I can't wait. My only concern is will I be so happy that I will never want to stay at another resort??

How wonderful! You are going to have a super dreamy fabulous time. Sending you some pixie dust :wizard:
P.S. Your concern is very valid. We now feel that way, too.

We stayed Poly GVC last Sept and while there thought we never wanted to stay anywhere else. But on the drive home I started thinking about what was spent to stay at Poly. For what I paid for 1 night at Poly(we stayed 4 nights) I could have stayed 6 nights(or 24 nights) at Pop or All-Stars. Its a nice treat to stay at Poly and since this was more of a resort stay than a park trip it worked well. But in Nov (2 trips) and Jan we were right back at our Values. March was WL and this month is AKL. You can't go wrong at any resort but in the back of your head there is always this thought (Woohoo!!! I'm in Disney World):cheer2:

Poly Dream - I had a very vivid dream the other night that my family had moved into the Poly Concierge to live! Imagine my disappointment when I woke up and had to go to work.

I have the same Poly Dream. I have wanted to stay there since I was a kid but my parent could not afford and we always stayed off site. Two year ago I stayed at the WL and loved it but the Poly calls to me. Wer'e going again next year and I can afford to stay there but I don't think my MIL and BIL will dish out the cash. I guess it will be the WL again, not that I'm coplaining but a girl can dream can't she! ::MinnieMo

We did stay at the Caribbean Beach in between Polynesian visits (back when money was tight) and DH said "never again". DH and 2 DDs refuse to stay anywhere else! I'll have to warn you, though . . . we started out in garden view and are now up to lagoon view concierge!

I just started saving up for mine, but since I have 362 days until I go, so I have lots of time to save.

We are Poly People as well. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. We were prepared to pay AAA or rack rate if we had to for Late May/early June... My DD8 has hinted that she would like to stay at Pop Century! The girl is just not right in the head and we need to take her in for a tune-up.

I can't imagine not staying at Poly when going to WDW, even if its a split stay to save $$. I wanted to stay at the Polynesian for our whole trip in May but it was $600 cheaper to split the stay with AKL so that's what we are doing.

Sign me up for the "nowhere but the Poly" club! We absolutely love it there. With 2 kids under 5 yrs old, you can't beat the Concierge service and the monorail convenience. The Poly is definitely a great place for a "resort vacation" but I don't think we would stay there if we were the types that spent all of our time in the parks. We usually only go to the parks in the early morning and in the evening. We actually have entire days where we stay at the resort all day. Many people on this board have very strong opinions about where you should or should not stay. I think a lot of where you stay boils down to "how" you vacation. I've noticed many people here love to tell others how they should spend their money....amusing to say the least.
